  • I been up to my neck in trouble, I been up to my neck in strife

I been up to my neck in misery for most of my life

I been a fool..and you know what a fool can do...I'm tellin you

You come along and you pulled me through, now I'm up, up, up

    To my neck in you

Genius. Absolute genius. I so wish I had written that lyric. Would have loved to have met Bon.

  • Bon Scott for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Would AC/DC be where they are today if Bon were still alive? Dunno about that, but one thing is for sure: I would be happy and would shake his hand and drink with him until I fell down laughing.

  • Pure, pure, pure energy rock´n´roll! Great Bon!

  • very different lyrics from the album version..... cool stuff

  • i fucking love acdc

  • it was 77, just alittle teaser before they released the album! they also played kicked in the teeth, the same night....what a treat.

  • 77 or 78, who's care's? this is rock n roll at its best.......long live bon!

  • TO EVERYONE THATS SAYS THIS COULDN'T BE IN 1977, YOU ARE WRONG BECAUSE ON A DIFFERENT RECORDING BONN SAYS "THIS ONE WASN'T RELEASED YET"

  • I love this image...it's so raw rock'n roll hell yeaaaaaahhh!!!!

  • Bon was THE embodyment of ROCK, he wasn't just a singer or a frontman but the spirit of ROCK itself, THAT's why he is and will always be the greatest frontman ever.

  • Rock de macho, não aquela viadagem de led zeppelin e congeneres!!!

  • Pure rock and roll!

  • durant la tournée 77, ils ont composés plusieurs titres, qui donneront plus tard powerage

  • The front man best in history of the lock?

    It is BonScott without question.

There are Robert Plant of ZEP a lot of attractive front men,

The charm of Scot is the overwhelming presence boom♪

I seemed to faint first when I heard his voice. . .

I am proud of one's sensitivity that noticed his charm.

  • kicking ASS BON SCOTT yeh!!!!!!!!!!xxx

  • This song will get any one up and moving

  • 30 years ago today, February 18. Bon passed away from alcohol poisoning. I may drink in his memory but won't try to copy him.

  • @ivanglennfortier Feb 19th!!!!!!!!!

  • just checked limewire, it's not always available but it is there if you keep looking for it that's where i got it.

  • I think this is from the "live at the old Waldorf" bootleg. You can get it on limewire. The audio quality is really good and it features a lot of tunes from Powerage before it was released, hence the alternate lyrics.

  • hmm i have never seen angus in a football players uniform , odd. anyone know where i can find a vid of angus playing in a spiderman costume? send to me plz :)

  • different lyrics 2nd verse, then studio version. great stuff!

  • putain de la musique......

  • i like what they did with this song!

    AC/DC FTW!!!

  • BBC sessions ....what we called a bootleg at that time.

  • is this live concert on a cd??

  • POWERAGE!! the best album ever, kick ass, fucking pure, raw, Rock and Roll!!!

  • It IS the best album of all time, period!!!

  • I agree...Powerage was, and is, the best album ever made.

  • Man.. i think I played this versions of Up to my neck and (here's another newie)kicked in the teeth again 3 and half million times. I love em even better than the power age versions

  • they should have kept on playing this during the powerage tour Bon did a great job with it

  • bang your head

    \m/

  • my second favorite song of all time right behind Gone Shootin'

  • 2 september 1977

  • 3 september 1977

  • Comment removed

  • One of my fav AC/DC songs.

  • lyrics are a bit different . Bon must have re-written that verse for the album so it had better flow.

  • Damn it the sounds sucks, but the song and performance is AWESOME. Hail the heavy boogie kings

  • RIP BON Band was never the same since you passed!

  • Amen! \m/

  • Such a great concert

  • i LOVE this song!

  • Acojonantes en 1977 y a-co-jo-nan-tes en 2008.

  • Bon had that cutting edge voice between blues and rock, he was, and always will be AC/DC.

  • @lesburst you are so goddam right, dude!!!!!

  • After Bon it has been a downward spiral. The band has made millions tho! RIP BON we miss you!

  • Raw!! Now shut up and listen..

  • there are really 2 different AC/DC bands... the one with Bon and the one with Brian, both good but different sounding. Notice the way the guitars are more distorted with a higher gain and fuzztone AFTER 1980, to match brians higher range.....both great but I prefer the older, cleaner boogie laden AC/DC..like this song....very blues based riffs....brian added a more heavy metal edge....

  • ANyone know where to get this/the rest of the San Fran '77 gig?

  • too good

  • Only prob is you can barely hear Angus

  • EBAY

  • eh????

  • Damn they have this unique flow in their music.. awesome!

  • i have this one as well great

  • My favourite song off of the best AC/DC album.

The live versions of these songs are so good!

It's a pity they've never put out stuff like this on an official release so it could be enjoyed by the masses.

But in any case, this music is immortal.

  • one of the best

  • Brian is a great singer. And why do so many Bon Scott fans putting down on Brian? Be happy AC/DC found Brian insteed.

  • personally i think both are great but brians style of music is completely different than bon's...some people just prefer the bin style but yea they shouldnt put brian down he is very talented

  • its not only bon scott fans but diehard acdc fans who have loved them since the first song they ever wrote, no one can replace bon. Lets just agree that atleast brian aint as bad as that fagget evans

  • You're right Dave Evans is a wannabe rock star he will always be a bad(and not in a good way) rocker

  • Stop saying Brian sucks! Both Brian and Bon are great in their own ways. BTW can you imagine Bon singing Thunderstruck?

  • while i wholeheartedly agree that Bon could sweep the floor with brian any day of the week without breakin a sweat, it is a bit much to say that brian is actually bad.

  • But don't forget that Bon is actually the one who recommended Brian if he would ever leave the band for any reason... Brian rocks!

  • great..... more than great... love it, i salute you ac/dc...

  • my fuckin house collapsed..

  • COOLEST VERSION EVER BOMBASTIC

HE ask why it´s played on 1977if Powerage was released on 1978,. It is because AC/DC played all your new songs first on tour, then they record it on a next album. That is the histor, not mine words.

  • sounds a lot different from the studio version! and it sound completely awesome!

  • ive heard this exact same version but on the other one bon says at the beginning that this is a song that may be released on the next album (that was powerage)

  • yeah this had tp be in 78 or later, cause powerage came out in 78, so yeah

  • well this was 77 (september 1 or 2)

  • @superawesomesquad but if you watch some others versions of this performance,Bon says they haven't been released yet

  • @superawesomesquad - Actually, I have no doubt on the date of the song. ACDC was famous for having several versions of a song on the shelf for years before putting it on an album. Sometimes, rarely, they would do an unreleased song live to test fan reaction to it.

  • @superawesomesquad

yeah they played this numerous times on the tail end of the 77 tour

  • @superawesomesquad They used to play some of thier songs on the tour before hand , or a coupple of mounths before the album came out :)

  • @superawesomesquad Actually, no. AC/DC with Bon played new songs even before they were on their respective albums. This happened a lot in the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap Tour, when they played songs like "Up to my neck in you", "Gone Shooting" or even "Kicked in the Teeth". So, this is a lot more possible to be in '77, than actually '78.

  • @superawesomesquad I've got a bootleg from '77 with a version os this tune on it. Lyrics were a bit different and they are obviously jammin it out.

  • @superawesomesquad The crowd was really good that night and AC/DC decided to treat them to this and Kicked in the Teeth

As Angus Young said, they'd bew touring with an album half finished

  • Nevermind my comment. I wastched another video and Bon Scott daid to the audiience that the song was on their next album that wasn't released yet.

  • How was this in 1977. Up to my Neck In You and Kicked in The Teeth came out on Powerage in 1978.

  • I believe they were already writing for Powerage at the time and these were the only ones ready. It says something to that effect in their biography.

  • those things hardly ever matter, neil young played songs in the 70's that came out 10-15-20 yrs later.

  • Where's Angus' guitar? Did he break a string or something?

  • Brilliant, thnx mate. Rawest AC/DC album IMO, really startin to hit their straps. Cheers.

  • Love this song!=D thanks for postin' this one
