I've ordered the Skorpion Quads hoping for a better experience and more stability. I just want to use them to exercise my thighs, not to be a pro skater and without major balance concerns, so I hope these are effective for that purpose.

These skates are a waste of money!!! You will trip in them; You will notice even Richard Humphrey prefers a Regular skate boot w/ the quadline wheels. Humprey even says it in one of the videos that he trips on the skorpion!! I strongly suggest buying speed skates w/ the quadline conversion kit!!Trust me, I am very coordinated!!!

for dedicated skating yes. having a dedicated tool is always better. The question is how do these fare for their intended use: as a casual, rec or commuter skate that saves you the trouble of taking of your shoes at every destination.
