Halfway through this, I had the best yawn ever. The faded colours in the video and the music in the background came together in a bleary eyed stretch that made me think I could die happy right then and there, rooted to the spot, a corpse listening to Beirut forever.

Reminds me of my trip to Hawaii when I was 8. My grandfather left money in his will so our family could go when he died. He had planned it when he got terminal cancer. I used to not remember him but this video made me think of him.

This video is beautiful, and full of charm and genuine affection. It's pretty old too, it has been a favourite for more than a year now. I'm pretty certain most of this memorabilia belongs to Zach Condon (singer of Beirut) since I recognise him in many of the shots. Alma Har'el has also directed 'Elephant Gun' by Beirut, another stunning video.

@anshuhunk People still do enjoy spending time on outside. It's becoming more about working to support your family these days though, so people don't have as much time to spend outside, unfortunately. I think everyone would be much happier with less work and more enjoying life.
