You just have to be patient with this kind of music, as it is not focused on an in-your-face confrontation of sound. The buildup is a key component to making things scary

I agree -- I don't find this "demonic" at all. Rather, it is lonely, melancholy, bleak, and beautiful. IMHO some people's perception of the song was influenced by its title; if it had been titled, say, "Cosmic Choir" or "Voice of the Winds", it would probably be perceived in a more positive light.
