I'm happy to find the scene of Ruka and Sousuke's confrontation on You Tube, I was somehow waiting this moment during the whole drama. It was a bit like the clash of the titans, and Ruka didn't disappointed me :D

Sousuke and Ruka were my favorite characters, and Ryo was quite impressive with his expressionless acting, which made his character so glacial and cruel.

He does try to rape Ruka in the next episode, which is a continuation of this scene. After he rips the shirt open, he starts pinning down and kissing on Ruka's neck. Rape is not below him, as he also rapes Michiru in this show. For Ruka this is an especially difficult moment because Ruka is also slowly realizing and coping with gender dysphoria. Rape is an element used as humiliation. He wanted to humiliate Ruka, who was already humiliated by her own, or rather "his" own circumstances.

I remember hating Ryo so much after this drama. But he became my fav after watching Ryusei no Kizuna. He is such a good actor, as Sousuke, he made us believe that he is a psycho and then as Taisuke, he is super adorable! Juri also an excellent actress, she delivered well as the tough lesbian Ruka and cute innocent Haru in Sunao ni Narenakute.

Its such a good story..you are recommended to watch it..its worth to watch.

yeah i also heard that they hate each other, in real life while shooting this drama. i think the reason is Ueno Juri hates Ryo because in the manga of last friends his appearance is only short but since Ryo makes the ratings high according to director of last friends live action his appearance to the drama is extended while Ueno Juri really did her best to fit her role like talking to gender confused people. (not sure i just read it in a blog)

I seriously felt Ryo' domestic violence scenes were too much and got draggy. My favorites scenes are Ruka and the other characters. It's not just that he got all the praise. Ueno-san was supposed to have a much bigger role in this drama. But while they were shooting they changed the script and made her part smaller and Nishikido-sans part bigger. Apparently, he did more for the ratings. ^_^"

Near the end when Sousuke is on top of Ruka and hits her in the stomatch, he's in a weak position. If you did that in Judo or BJJ or whatever, you'd be sailing to the mat faster than you can say "GYABO!"

Sousuke's right leg is basically a lever that would have allowed Ruka to throw him off her with ease. There are quite a few things she could have done (like "don't try to use a bag as a melee weapon"). I was disappointed that Ruka didn't fuck him up, since he's such a wimp. Damn writers.

first, i don't think he was gonna rape her; he was simply showing her (in a sick way) that she is a woman - not a man.

second, i didn't hate his character. i felt pity for him more often than contempt. really, his character was doomed from the start, and was subject to a fate he couldn't even escape. manami's character was probably the only person who could help him out of his darkness, but her failing was that she was also so taken by him that she didn't even realize what he really needed....
