This album really benefited from the remastering job I reckon, as did KIMB, the original of which should go down as the shittiest production job in the history of metal. SFSGSW remaster enhanced some songs and destroyed others, while the RIP remaster was an abomination. Take No Prisoners and Five Magics will never be the same after hearing that. The others were all fine to begin with so its hard to fathom why Dave decided to mess with them in the first place.
@ayambumba There are definitely worse productions jobs in metal than KIMB. I also think that the original PSBWB and SFSGSW sounded so much heavier before they were remastered and had all the power sucked out of them. Remasters are always bad. :(:(
YouTube fucks the quality, the re-mastered version without YouTube's shit sounds so much better.
I was used to the studio version for this song, then I got the remastered and it was literally like converting from a SD TV to a HDTV.
I always didn't like listening to Megadeth because I thought the recording quality was awful, but thanks to re-masters, I can give Megadeth a genuine chance and I'm glad because I know that Megadeth are great.
This album does sound good remastered.SFSGSW, RIP,Countdown,KIMB, and Youth are the good sounding remasters IMO. The rest could have been left alone. Especially Cryptic and Risk. Those sounded fine. Anyone know how good the DVD-A of this album sounds. I am curious as to how the 5.1 mix of this album sounds. I bet it kicks ass!
@PearlJammer07 The Peace Sells DVD DTS is bad ass, but it lacks bass, I can tunr my sub woofer up full blast and there still is no bass and most 5.1 recievers will not let you raise the bass level in DTS formats...
This sounds so much better that the original, the only song I do not liked remixed is Peace Sells, too much reverb on the drums and bass at the begining. This song is perfect because it sounds bigger, better and clearer... PERFECT.

@dbzsony well the original five magics sounds better, not the re-master, the remaster has a different vocal track

Risk sounds better remastered IMO cuz now it doesn't sound like a god damn techno album.Cyrptic doesn't bother me.
