Are you serious? Obviously you haven't seen what happens when a rope,chain,cable breaks. If you are going to try this again, I strongly urge you to close the tailgates. This way when it smacks the back of your head, at least it will slow down a little.
I watched a 3/4" diameter rope come through a windshield after it caved in the front of a Silverado hood doing the same thing. If whatever you were using to attach the vehicles snapped...you wouldn't know what hit you.
the older blazers/jimmy's have more torque than the envoys and trailblazers, the new vehicles arent going to win a tug of war with the old ones.
Also remember the 90's S10 series have the 4.3 Vortec which is a 350 LT V8 with 2 cylinders cut off, so they have an extremely oversized engine under that hood too, my 96 jimmy will pull a suburban out of a ditch on icy road conditions.

@Vismis it's hard to explain...It is a leak where someone hit something and crushed the exhaust plus tore it so it sounds idk louder. Kinda a gurgle maybe.
@PhOeNiXpIoLe I don't think they are that bad of a vehicle really myself. The 4.2l inline six is basically bulletproof! My Trailblazer has the same motor as the Envoy and it has almost 221,000 miles on it!

Traction for one, gears, and chassis, etc. I bet it won because it has a more robust/rigid chassis and the Envoy, while nice and beastly in its own right, has a more road oriented chassis and gears. Race them and youd get a different answer, huh?
Your theory is correct its been done i just didn't get the video of it. I now own a Trailblazer so i can whoop up on the envoy when i get my new mods.
It's not just the traction for one the Jimmy makes its torque almost instantly from take off the envoy makes it at about 3000rpms. So when the jimmy already pulled started to pull it the envoy makes its torque at about that moment causing it to spin like crazy and never catch traction again. Make sense?
@amdrewi I didnt even think about that. Youre right though. The Envoy definately has to get spooled up to make any power. Mine feels so damn mushy down low and wont spin the tires from a standstill. I drove my granddad's S-10 and it will light up the tires like a damn Corvette it makes so much torque down low. A fun truck to drive, for sure. But so is the Envoy on the onramps, etc.

The Jimmy is an SUV and so is the Envoy but the Jimmy was in 4x4 and the Envoy is only a 2 wheel drive so that's why the Jimmy won but we did one in 2 wheel and i still pulled him about 2 or 3 feet.
Well the Jimmy is 4x4 and has 183000 miles on it now, the Envoy has like 84000 on it! But the Envoy is only 4x2 so i don't know which one is stronger the 4.3l V6 is a tough little engine but the 4.2l I6 has a lot more power. The tranny may not be a tough in the Jimmy but i don't know.
This is very stupid, 4x4 vs 2x4, are you kidding me? If that envoy had the locking diff, he might have made your 4x4 look stupid with his 2x4.
