I agree with you KoopaNinj; Sinestro Corp War and Blackest Night were both fantastic reads and I rate them both very highly, I was never a Green Lantern fan until I was in my local comic store a couple of years ago and picked up Green Lantern: Rebirth which got me into the character and since then thiers been a steady stream of greats stories come along.
Ever since Geoff Johns took the Green Lantern book, he has turned it into one of the best comics out there right up there with batman and superman. I love the stories he's also told with Aquaman, and Firestorm. Sinestro's Corps War, and BLackest Night remains some of my all time favorites. What about you? (anyone)
I felt almost the same way exactly about the book, however, the last 40 some odd pages really changed my opinion on the book. When it became more about Hal and his influence on the now courageous people of coast city it really hooked me for a great ending.
I believe the reason Ion is a fish is because he represents willpower. And I think the fish is supposed to be carp. The carp is known as a symbol of strength because it swims against the current, and willpower is emotional strength.
AHAHA I'm the total opposite from you! i thought that the green lantern corps books were more interesting than t he green lantern ones. I mean I loved the fight between ion and superman prime cause it was so exciting. :D
the way I see it is that Sinestro could take out Ion because kyle let him self feel fear and they got rid of paralax when he could overcome the fear.... but I know what you mean about it not being for you... I personaly don't like the greek stuff like with Thor or wonder woman
Ion represents will power not courage and it takes the form of a shark. A shark can't float. It swims nonstop in order to survive. Some might say that it's life depends on an unending relentless active effort to survive. I think that represents will power as well as anything.
i think ur point of view is defininetly a fair 1 i liked this book alot....are u going to continue reading/reviewing the other books secret origin and blackest night?
Thats true. Its really about opinion. I actually like space stories, yet i like others too. But I know a lot of people that are like you that just dont care for it
Why did you think it was Guy Garnder when they said early on that character was Sodam Yat. Was that your first thought when you were flipping through the book? It makes sense that this book is not for you since you seem to prefer the the street level heroes like Batman, Daredevil, and Moon Knight.
i feel the same way, space stories arent really sumthang i prefer. i feel the same way about geoff johns, hes a good solid writer but he misses that humff, in his writings that i dont hav the knoweldge to explain (from the little that ive read from him)
well the sinestro corps like world war hulk is a good blockbuster showing and making the green lantern corp as a corp as they are police force the mulitiple lanterns color corp it really lame and kinda ridiculous sinestro corp need more comic blockbuster dont you think ?
kind of random but who you where saying that ion should have been something different like a lion it makes since but apparently fish represents wisdom knowledge inspiration so i guess it makes since

I don't understand the point of this review honestly. If you don't feel one way or the other how can you review it?
JerkyChid 2 years ago
Because that's my review. It's good but it's not for me.

I understand that but I don't get it.
I'm the same way but I wouldn't do a review because of it.

Because he's revealed in the last page and it just says "THE NEW ION!" it's not until the next issue they tell you who he is.

No I love the idea it's sucha fascinating and creative (yet obvious) idea. I wish marvel woudl trying doing things like that with it's characters.
I liked WWH.
