i think its not up to somalia to liberate the ogaden region its up to its people now whether they stay federation with Ethiopia or separate. ETHIOPIA IS a democratic country and there is article 38 gives rights to call for self determination. in 1977 there were uprising in one side there was EPRP, EDU, uprise to overthrow the government, and several rebels movements like ELF EPLF TPLF,AND WSLF. OLF the gov. was very weak .somalia should not intervene that war. now D.D.SOOMAALIDA.

Except for some countries in L.America and Asia. at 1977 the Somali Republic was only 17 years old that's not exactly a time to wage a war which in the mid 1980s caused the collapse of Somali Economy and downturn of Somali state. So at no point was war needed nor beneficial !

The Ethiopian army largely was made up of Ogadenis so that they could translate while they in Somalia. The Blue-red flag was raised this is not a LIE watch 1977 war you will see i gurantee. Britain is the root of all evil it awarded Ogaden region to Ethiopia in 1945. All signs indicate not a struggle but friendship right ? Plus the Somali republic was 17 at 1977 too early !
