Bob Marley grew up from youth in Trench Town, Kingston 12, Jamaica. Trench Town was (is) rough, "ghetto" part of Kingston.

Until age 5 he lived in St. Ann's in the mountains with his mother & grandfather. His father tricked his mother into letting Bob go to Kingston. nobody heard from him for a year. He was seen playing in Kingston, Bob's mother took him back to St. Ann's. After he came back, he told people "I'm a singer now."

And he never gave up. RIP Legend, Ras Bob.
