If this tastes anything like the Ribs you've done in a similar marinade this'll be AWESOME!! Can't wait to try this, even though it's nearly freezing outside.

@todd8333 Yes, you can. However, it has a different flavour than chinese rice wine. But this change in flavour is preferred by some. So it depends on the cook mainly.
Pale Dry Sherry or Gin are probably the best subsitutes however, as they have much closer flavours to chinese rice wine.
I have not eaten this since leaving Australia 9 years ago ... Think I need to cook it again. I do it in the oven and hang them from a wire rack to cook. they work out great.
