  • Good stuff...thanks for posting~!

  • sweet man!I do the same thing to my old truck in winter

  • Thats a fine 39 Dodge.......out to treat her with a nice tarp, or better yet......a corner in your barn. Im still restoring my 27 Nash Cabriolet.......and thank God the prior owners kept her inside for the past 50 years. Good luck with that beauty.

  • this car has seen the first world war end the end of adolf hitler .... the ddr and so on and so on .... wow

good luck with this car and greetings from germany

  • @samthepspuser it might have missed the first world war...

  • had a 55 dodge with a flat head, started every time. you can actually hear the oil feeding back into the parts of the engine as the starter gets faster.

  • this is an old fckin truck

  • I've had both newer and older cars and trucks. It's possible to get a lot of miles out of either. The older vehicles tend to need frequent maintenance to be at their best. The newer ones less often but usually require special tools and equipment to do proper diagnostics and maintenance. This old Dodge here obviously has a slight coolant leak somewhere, as it's pooling up in the spark plug wells. I have an old Dodge with similar motor. Had the thing for years. Given me good service.

  • Hell yea Footpumper

  • AMERICAN POWER ONLY!!!

  • Very cool stuff! That flathead sur runs smooth!

  • before the fucken computers took over cars back when they were better

  • back then they built machines TO LAST!

not like today, new cars have a limited lifespan because they were MADE to live short!

anyway, excellent machine, keep it around! if you have a new car, this ol truck will probably outlive it flat!

  • @bluemoondiadochi Id hate to burst your bubble, back then you were lucky to make it to 90k miles. now cars last up to and well over 200k with little preventive maintenance. this trucks engine was probably overhauled or had some work done to it over the years. i'm tired of people saying old cars last longer.

  • @weston631 didnt know that... oh well, i took measures after our old cars.

grandpa had a citroen that just wouldn't die, over 350.000 kilometers (the engine anyway, the bodywork rusted away...)

old VW Golfs are still rolling the streets, as do 30 year old Yugos

frankly the best quality cars were built 1985-1995. they stopped building them this lasting when it was discovered that the parts just don't go broke, meaning no profit from parts.

  • @weston631 Im sure what this guy and the others really mean, is that old cars and trucks had barely if any plastic in them depending on vintages, and have survived of course in the millions out west of North AMerica, or shit even CUBA where salt water air and humidity have wreaked havoc on the pre '60 Americans!! Currently writing a certain article about a '57 Merc I photographed in Havana in 07.

  • the only dodge id ever own would be one of these era trucks....i prefer my chevys and their 350's

  • sounds like u need a battery,I know its cold out but still think needs replacment.

  • hella awesome

  • Klappt doch super...

  • Hearing those old mopar flat sixes run, just music to my ears. Great looking ole truck youve got.

  • Old trucks like this are awesome. And call me crazy, but I think they look better when the paint is a little rougher. They're trucks after all. No need to give em a $10000 paint-job.

  • @irarawkstarr true that!

  • geiles gerät :o)

  • jepers creepers car could be made from this?

  • legal

  • a gasolina

  • deve ser a gasolina??

  • @jocelitowel

    Gasoline, yes

  • That was an awesome start.

Here's hoping we can all wake up that easy on a cold morning when we get to be 71 years old.

  • Man those old flat heads were awesome. Why can't they ,make vehicles like this anymore?

  • because they were too good and now days they would not make any money

  • what a sweetheart,, i would drive it everyday to work.

  • I wonder if it has a cummins lol

  • @hpidude45 you can see in the video it has a inline 6 flathead

  • It was 1939.... who needed headlights?? LOL!

  • What happened to the headlights?

  • I really love the pixel in effect, tastefullt done, great old truck too, my grandpa used to own an old Dodge power wagon, 1947 model, I think

  • Old flathead six. They were great engines.

  • Now I remember why I left home in Indiana in 1961....The snow and wind sucked...love the southern climate.

  • i hate snow

  • Truck has great potential!

  • sounds great

  • it runs on 6 volts, thats why it cranks over slowly, these trucks helped win WWII , show some respect to an american hero!

  • @blckstng96 absolutely, my great uncle used to drive a 1944 Dodge Power Wagon for years

  • Looks like July in Russia. Seriously,I love seeing these old survivors!

  • Maybe if the economy gets better, you can trade her in for somethin a little newer.

  • hahahahahahaa

  • why would anyone ever trade in such a beautiful truck

  • Interesting vid.

  • Heh, shit, the fast idle/choke thermostat works still. Those old dodge flat heads really were something else.

  • @Polybun i don't think his names' shit

  • have you sold it yet

  • When 69 years you reach, start as quickly you will not.

  • Dog who chase car get exhausted.

  • Where are the headlights?

  • how much for it

  • starts better than my car

  • Well one wouldn't have to worry about it over heating. Owen Australia
