thank you so much for the video. if your big on history...cincinatti got some great shit,,crosley field, coney island amusement park, and just the old days....i love cinci and detroit...i want detroit back
Not bad- but if there was going to be an obviously recent clip at the end, a good ending would have been the last minute of an analog station going off the air for good.
Great video! Thanks for the memories! You made my day. I haven't seen these in years. I grew up between Flint and Detroit so we got both TV markets over the air, plus Lansing, Saginaw, Bay City and Windsor's TV-9 which was often times fuzzy.
@Maytons Yeah, I'm a Ron Paul guy and an ex-Metro Detroiter. I grew up on Bill Bonds, the Tigers (George Kell, Al Kaline, Ernie and Paul), Sir Graves and don't forget ... Sony Elliott. Those were the days! Simpler times. Better times, IMHO. Thanks again for the video. You took me back ... WAY back! I grinned when I saw the art video. I had totally forgot about that but in an instant I was 9 years old again.
Great memories from a better time. Fantastic job. I sure remember that Highland commercial with the Ruskies. We kids would see each other at school and say "Hello, you!" Also, Mr. Bill Bonds was a wise old fellow.
Good compilation! I would love to see the Dr. Dworkis commercial (I believe it was a cat and dog hospital in Southfield, MI); it starts off with "Hi, I'm Dr. Dworkis!" and aired in the mid 1980s. If someone out there posts it I'll send them $10.
Thanks for the memories, Anthony Harris, the young man mentioned in the train accident went to school with me, I still remember the incident like it was yesterday!!
Thanks for the memories. But does anyone out there have the Fretter radio comercial w/ Mr. Kleeper? Rembember? "Mr. Kleeper, you're dreaming?" email me if you have it: fantasyfreek@juno.com
Excellent job...these really bring back memories, some I haven't seen in YEARS! Thanx so much for bringing them to YouTube...if you need ideas for more of these compilations, let me know.
I want my country back...lets rebuild detroit...occupy detroit...and demand government to invest into the city. instead of to the banks
