  • 'its crazy. let's play it'

  • Def one of your best games, cuz they're all good xD.

  • Sorry, but def not one of your best games. IMO, 26...Nc4 seemed fairly poor. A question though...it seemed as though right after Nc4 your opponent took some time to maybe find a mating combo (which may very well have been there which I'm going to analyze and see...) but then began trading all his pieces off. Doesn't this go against the general principles of chess? When ahead in space and position you shouldn't be doing this? Maybe it was all closer than I thought, but didn't look that way anyway

  • icc=internet chess club

  • ..and then, I can start playing normally to trick him! :D

  • u have just earned a subscriber do make more ! :)

  • KC it hurt to hear that big sighhhhh at the end of the game. i feel your pain though, i play internet chess as well.

you are still the man, incredible chess player!

  • You had a rook-queen fork, mid-game. Was that overlooked, or was there a reason for not jumping on it?

  • Nb3 there's Nc6+. If Bxc6, the pawn takes, attacking the Queen and when the queen moves, he just avoids the fork by moving.

  • by moving what ?

  • ur line is just a lost position to white according to rybka. However, ... Nb3 26.Qe3 Nxc1 27.Na6+ Ka8 28.Rxc1 Rc8 29.Ra1 Qa7 30.Nb4. And black loses his queen.

  • @nnnnnNicol Good question, after watching again I see the move in question and am curious myself.

  • The comment after mine explains why. KC was trying to get the knight out of the way for the fork, I believe.

  • g5, Ng7, strange setup even for a blitz game... but I d employ f5 from around move 20 for you had to gt the rooks on the kingside in Alekhin-Battery style.

Never mind anyway, I get beaten by an FM on annual basis, we call it "our club sim... " so no shame there. Excellent videos anyawy, once again thanks for your work.

  • "That's how you get beaten on the icc: sometimes these games are too hard"

    lol

  • what is icc ?

  • Why not 24...Nb3 forking queen and rook?

  • @IpONu4money You mean 25 ... Nb3 -- he mentioned that move before white's 25. Nb4. If 25 ... Nb3 then maybe 26. Nc6+ Bxc6 27. bxc6 and now the queen has to move. But checking with rybka 3, black can just now take queen, with the rook next in line if white retakes the queen. If white moves the pawn for check then black ends up a piece down but with a better position. Anyway, the move was way too dynamic and risky for the remaining time control, and 25 ... Nc4 was recommended better yet.

  • Excellent videos KC. You've reawakened my love for chess. Still very much a beginner although i've been playing for 20years. In the few weeks i've been watching your vids i've got sooo much better. Realising the weaknesses of my/their position and good squares for my pieces and such that i wouldn't have even seen before. Now all i need do is watch your openings vids and i'll be owning you in a few months ;) Keep up the good work.

  • awesome!
