The marriage of small girls was a habit in old ages, Islam did not impose that, you check your bible and you will find a lot of stories about that, however Islam accepted the marriage without allowing the sexually activity till the girl is grown up and in that time she can reject it, Aesh married when she 6 and became our prophet wife at 9 years
