(HD) Did Kelly Clarkson Really Belt A C6 Live?

There is a video of Kelly rehearsing for this song for the show where the note is not there, which would suggest that Kelly sang it here but didn't then to save her voice, as opposed to it being a guitar.

@lufflyness Kelly never sings high notes in rehearsals, even if they're as low as F5s. It's a waste of the high note. I can give you several rehearsals to prove that fact. btw, snd me the link of the rehearsal for home. I never hard it.

I'm not remotely a music major or anything like that. However, I can tell the difference between what is said is the C5 and the C6. What Kelly is singing is NOT the C5. The C5 is lower. Kelly's C6 is higher than the C5, so therefore it must be a C6.

He clearly is biased and he's only doing this because KCIMG questioned his logic. he didn't prove anything in that video... He just slowed the pitch and thrown random commentary to mislead you. See, in this video you are given the actual piano pitches. I have tried playing Bb4-B4-C5 and it does not match. i cannot hear any note inside the C6 EVEN when slowed down.

I think the combination of the piano, bass and her voice made it sound like a C6. but she actually belted a Bb4-B4-(C5 sustained). Either way it sounded off pitch. That fact that you guys include screeches, squeals and screams into her singing vocal range tarnishes your credibility, every girl can scream D7's & F7's it doesn't mean they can sing in that range. Kelly is an amazing singer you guys don't have to exaggerate her abilities.

@Bzblaner I love how he compared chest to opera (head voice) in an attempt to somehow prove anything. The degree of dificulty when it comes to chest and head voice is a LOT different. First of all Kelly is still hitting the note inside the C6. I do not hear any Bb4 in it, secondly you can clear hear the transition from middle to upper register. Lastly, in the whole concert that guitar, NEVER has overwhelmed Kelly's vocals. Kelly hit that C6 and you will deal. delete my comments lmao

Kelly obviously belted the C6. However, I personally think this argument is lame. No offence. It's just that Kelly may strain, however nowhere nearly as much as some of the shitty singers out there. In today's music, her technique is a blessing to listen to. BZBlaner can often be a lot of talk and will go to many lengths just to be right. He is correct when he says that Beyonce's better TECHNIQUE wise however.

I will not go any further because it would be unfair for Beyonce to compare her technique against Kelly's above the F#5. Of course everybody strains but to say that Kelly strains and that Beyonce doesn't, ESPECIALLY when it comes to middle chest is ridiculous. I found loads of great unknown notes that I have been gathering up since all the leaks have occured and they will be put to good use.

For all I care, Kelly rarely uses it. But when she does it's always effortless, controlled, in-key. The fact that you bring resonance into the equation it is obvious that Kelly can also project belts, very effortlessly infact. I admit, I have been showcasing many terrible notes, but don't let that affect your opinion onher.
