  • referred to the below comment, yes, the coconut milk makes a better taste than the regular milk.

    ... and i'd like to add a tip : only put in the meat (shrimp, squid, chicken, etc.) when the soup is boiling and never stir it till it boils again ;)

    It looks very yummy..+I love mushroom, I am a mushrooms eater :)

    Anyway, I think adding coconut milk tastes much more better than milk.

  • ada hal yg perlu diperhatikan,,,,kalau makanan laut bertemu dg susu,,atau pengolahannya bersamaan biasanya berdampak pada pigmen kulit,,,dibeberapa negara jazirah arab tidak bisa orang makan ikan laut atau udang dan kemudian langsung mengkonsumsi susu,,,akibatnya kulit menjadi belang2,,,biasanya menunggu hingga 2-3 jam baru bs mengkonsumsi susu,,,trimakasih

  • @donnyabd : Terima kasih atas perhatiannya meskipun saya masih sangsi, masalahnya di benua north america sini umum saja memasak sari laut dan susu secara bersamaan, contohnya clam chowder, bisque, coquille st jean dan lain lainnya.

  • @IndonesianFoods iyaaa,,benar tp yg saya maksud untuk kalangan masyarakat jazirah arab sepertinya dijadikan pantangan besar,,karena iklim yg menjadikan faktor penyebabnya kemungkinan besar,,,tp banyak juga di kalangan masyarakat indonesia yg tidak mempermasalahkan,,,bila dalam tom yum resep anda, apakah mungkin susu diganti dg santan?

    Monggo silahkan saja di ganti dengan santan, malah menurut teman saya yang orang Thai sebenernya tom yam yang asli itu malah bening kok :) Selamat mencoba semoga suka.

  • way too many mushrooms and shrimps for the amount of water they had and i think she didnt even use tomatoes which is not important but i havent seen even a single person in thailand making it without tomatoes perhaps it is malay style

  • my bf is a thai chef he has cook the delicious tomyam ever but the ingredient r nt exct as u r..he us coriander roots galangal n chicken stock 3 red onions n cut half n boil it first for stock.after bout half an hour he sieve the ingredient n use tomyam paste mae pranom brand from thai then he put the thin cut of lemongrass,galangal,chili bird,cherry tomato,mushroom n tiger prawn,lime leaves for fragrance,an lime juice,then after cook turn off the gas and add some cndensed milk fr thicker gravy
