I'm sure this has been pointed out, but yeah, Emily is talking to Wily (according to the liner notes) who had broken into Light's lab. He then had his assassin robot kill her, and framed Light, leading into 'The Hounds' blah blah we all know this. Excellent mythos though I love these guys >.>

I guess you can say that but I think he tried and saw that humanity, on the whole, didn't deserve saving. Dr. Light was the only human who stood up to Wily by making Protoman, none of the other humans even tried to help. They stood their, unwilling to help, as Protoman fought and died for them.

I love the story so much. We broke our NES and we didn't have money for an SNES but the Protomen have gotten me so into Megaman. I just wish the games had this elaborate story to them.

I still have to say it is Willy that is the other man. Lets go down the list. First we all know that the "gun" light speaks of is really Sniper Joe. ONe of the first robots that Willy and Light built before there split. Both Willy and Light had a passion for Emily. In the end Willy knew he could never have her so he ordered Sniper Joe to kill her so that neither could have Emily. This is were the break with Willy and Light starts.

I downloaded a version with pre-inserted lyrics. The man in the section is listed as Albert. The lyrics seem pretty accurate with everything else.

The machine he's referring to is most likely Megaman. I think what's happening is the humans are now caught in a war between Megaman and Wily, and shit is just getting more and more out of control.

This also might be Megaman's way of forcing humans to stand up for themselves, by igniting an unstoppable conflict.

I don't think so. Megaman's fight with Wily was in the first album and he decided to leave mankind to a fate of their own design. He's probably wandering around in the desert somewhere.

This is a prequel album so I actually think he's referring to the MM1 robot masters. In the game they were originally of Light's design but Wily stole them and used them to create havoc.

Emily is also in this song so this is a long time before Megaman was built. This was when Light was young.
