but the intention of this shaikh is still give lectures through the internet and tv which the prophet or the sahabbas never done. Same as wearing a suit and tie imo. So i guess everythings a bidda
ijtihad - literally meaning striving to understand - is the act of the Islamic scholar or judge (mufti) to understand and comprehend a problem that might arise within a specific context of time or place or situation that a Muslim or a group of Muslims would be dealing with for the purpose of finding a solution by quantifying and qualifying the limits the Quran and the Sunnah have put in place and verifying what acts need to be established in priority.
Mashallah im sunni and i found that very useful, didnt know about Al-Hasans status, could someone please shed some light on why Al-Hasan, and not just the four, we already know about.
@PayChkSlaveRebellion Aslam alaikom brother, Al hasan became the khalif after the Murder of Ali and he was the khalif for 8 months then a huge war was going to happen between him and Muawia but he signed an agreement of peace and Muawia became the Khalif.
@mado9111 thanks, no i understand, and have read the history, but why does the sheikh, if you know, say that the last person to follow is Al-hasan, and not mauwia, afterall he was a caliph too. In essence why do we stop at Al-Hasan. JK
@PayChkSlaveRebellion Mauwaia (R.A) was not a caliph, he was just the hereditary ruler at the time. IN the hadth of the prophet (S.A.w) it states that: "The Khilafah in my Ummah after me will be for thirty years". If we do not add the time Al-Hassan (R.A) was a caliph the 30 year time span does not add up therefore by adding the time of Al-Hassan (R.A) as a caliph we get the 30 years that the Prophet (S.A.W) stated. I hope u understand.
