After you cleaned your ipad/iphone/ipod touch with any kind of cleaner or soap it will do it. The only way to fix ist is take your hand and wish a long time over the glass because then the cleaner or soap will go away... (Worked for me!)

Man, it's brand new and still under warranty. I wouldn't bother trying to fix it - just go to the apple store and show them and they'll replace it.
