Right...so, the show was decently successful (note the correct word there) since it ran for six seasons -- which is longer than most last. It was never a massive hit, but I think it had a pretty good "cult" following. Likewise, it was not a "medical drama" in fact there was little medicine in it. It was more a "cop show" really, especially in later seasons. The premise was to follow the lives of police, firefighters and paramedics in NYC.
I merely pointed out (in response to Nine00) that the show was successful -- most shows do not last six seasons. That, and you forgot the entire part of the show that concentrated on the "police" which is notable considering the content of the video above. It doesn't matter if you liked the show -- I hate ER & CSI:Miami, have never liked L&O or NYPD Blue but would not say they were "unsuccessful" or that they weren't "that good at all". Dislike is not an excuse for incorrect categorization.
I love third watch!!!!!

Eh, it really wasn't that good at all, I think it went for 5 seasons and was canceled. I know it was axed once and then brought back.

It was a crossover episode from ER to Third Watch. I'd actually never even heard of the show before until I saw the ER episode.

@freakyobsessed ER was created by Michael Chrichton, Third Watch by Edward Allen Bernero (Criminal Minds) and John Wells.
