  • China has a traditional dress, HANFU

a similar way VIetnam - Four Flap Dress

  • @Isanka789 u think i don't know that in the history there was yue in the territory present China? But a country is getting bigger or smaller during the time. in that time there was yue but when china is getting bigger, they push the yue too the south and the chinese moved here. Cantonese is the language that is similar to the old chinese and u say that they a not chinese?? If we talk about real Han the Cantonese people are the closest. I know that our culture is very beautiful >P

  • @ZTinLi: yes, agreed. Han chinese is not a race, Cantonese is the south Han chinese, it means 100% of Han. the different Han including: mongol, northern Han, manchurian, titbetan????

  • Qipao is not traditional costume, but Hanfu is.

  • I want to know the title of this music.

  • @070522 Umbrella by Epik High

  • Qipao is the ugliest

  • Theres no hanfu...

  • Kimono and Ao Dai are the prettiest ^^

  • For me...All of South Chinese should be a part of South Asian....they look very close to South Asian people.

  • i love Viet Nam

  • South East Asia is called "IndoChina" because it's a mix of Indian and Chinese civilization influences, where two civilizations converge.

For example, Vietnam uses chop sticks for eating food, a practice that dates back to Confucius over 3000-4000 years ago.

Indian culture or civilization typically use their hands to eat food with... So it's completely different culture.

  • @Phead128 IndoChina means countries that is between India & China. It's a ''PORTMANTEAU'' of the words INDIA & CHINA. Google ===> ''Indochina''

  • @YuDumPhuck

Yes, IndoChina is like the crossing point between two great civilizations... The Tienshan mountains and Hindu Kush are obvious points where India and China couldn't collide because of the inhospitable lands of Afghanistan and Central Asian steppes that were more influenced by Persian-Aryan Islamic tradition than China/Indian civilizations.

  • Japan influenced by Sui & Tang Dynasty of China

Korea influenced by Song & Ming Dynasty of China

Vietnam influenced by Song & Ming Dynasty of China

but today China is most influenced by Qing Dynasty

today.. the stereotype of Chinese Dress acttually is from Manchirian Qipao(旗袍)

but we're Han Chinese and we wear Hanfu(漢服) before Qing Dynasty

  • @Mreleezy Are you sure you're han or you're part mongolian and part manchurian? Most northern chinese are 1/2 mongolian and 1/2 manchurian but they think they're are han. Same for the southern chinese (cantonese), they are the Yue (viet) people but they think they are han.

  • @YuDumPhuck

I'm from Guangdong and speak Cantonese and my ancesteral lineage dates back to State of Chu in the Warring States period.

That's why China is such a great Empire. No nation can be pure blooded and expect to become a great empire.

  • Comment removed

  • @YuDumPhuck

My ancestors date back to the State of Chu... Do you know where the State of Chu is?

  • @Phead128 So, how do you know your ancestors were from the State of Chu? Were you there when all these happened? No! You were still in your dad's balls, your dad in your grandpa's balls, and your grandpa was in your great grandpa's balls.

  • @YuDumPhuck

I looked up my last name on a website, says that my ancestor was one of the most famous poets in China before State of Qin conquered the State of Chu.

  • @YuDumPhuck wtf what did u get that catonese are viet. don't try to put viet with the chinese. Its not because there are close that they are related. Cantonese are 100% han chinese and viet are 100% not han chinese.

  • azn culture is beautiful.

  • I love Ao Dai <3333333 from Korea

  • Viet girls are actually very pretty/cute. I don't know why Koreans and Japs look down on them. How sad.

  • I'm viet and i love korean as much as japanese or chinese or even the rest of our asean brothers but no offence the korean ones look kinda cheap and the vietnamese ones look way too plain. Chinese ones are simple but they r worn by super model so they look so freaken hot and the japanese ones is the best. Lets all hands up for japan :)))

  • I don't care if Vietnam was considered Southeast or West Asian. The only thing that i know for sure is that " our culture" is beautiful. Don't bring the politics or economy up to discuss this video , please. I'm talking about the "cultue" issue. Ao Dai is popular on the world, so Do " Kimono, Hanbok, Chi fao". Beauty is depend on the view of the bystander.

  • i see the hong kong star twin.. "Chung Han Dong" and "Thai Trac Nghiem"

  • @samquan123 lol, that's their names translated to Vietnamese, their names in English are Gillian Chung Yan Tung and Charlene Choi Cheuk-Yin.

  • @KatPianism this is viet translation their the real name.. actually viet people has those name.. English can not translation their name and don't have those kind of this name. But English just give different name.. like Kelly, Jennifer, Michelle, Linda.

  • I love these girls

  • LOL. I thought I could watch this video without any fights in the comments but it seems like I'm wrong XD First you guys argue about skin color and now about the dresses

Why do I always read hate comments in almost all videos about this and this east asian country (with Viet Nam, mhhh even though it's in the SEA-region because of its location)

  • Who is at 3:57

  • why do people keep getting Chinese traditional clothing wrong? It's tiring. Qipao has nothing to do with "tradition." It's a modern article of clothing invented in the 1920s after Manchurian clothing. Wrong ethnic group.

  • Omg,Japanese girls looks so pure ♥

  • Comment removed

  • What's the name of the song??

  • Comment removed

  • Wrong clothes used for the Chinese sets. We wear hanfu traditionally, not the Manchurian qipao.

  • All the Traditional Dresses are Beautiful! I like the Chinese and the Japanese traditional dresses! Great video!

  • And still there are stupid idiots who think Hanbok is simple and less decorative than other clothes because Korean culture was not developed enough. Go read some books while you make those ridiculoous comments.

  • BTW, the common 'Hanbok' we usually see doesn't have much patterns or bright colors like in other countries, because Chosun Dynasty pursued the strongest confucist policy ever, even more than in China. That's why Chosun Yangban(high-class) women wore simple and non-decorative hanboks. They thought decorating oneself was only for Gisaeng, who were women that learned art and dance to please customer men. Gisaeng hanboks in contrast are very decorative and flashy. Try googling 'Hwang jin yi hanbok'

  • geez.. everybody's fighting over everything..

Will the three countries never be able to praise each other at least?

    I mean, maybe including Vietnam.

  • Comment removed

  • Kimchi rats have the ugliest traditional dress of all while Japanese have the best. I can't even imagine what kimchi men will look like in their traditional garb.

  • @r0ckingoodtimebr0dy you're racist..

  • Hanfu is actually Chinese; putting in Qipao is like giving Japanese, Korean, or Viet western suits

  • well for those who are quarrelling over not being able to tell a korean from a chinese- its simple. the chinese ones speak chinese and the korean ones speak korean so get over it.

  • i love kimono n yukata, but actually i'm korean. lol

  • @mchjia with all respect, if you know why china is here, you will understand why Vietnam is here !

  • @mchjia why U are here? oO vietnams cultur is Eastasian ._.

  • Comment removed

  • @mchjia although vietnam is located is southeast asia people consider them apart of east asia along with the japanese, chinese, and korean because of their relationships

  • Vietnamese girls are the hottest. VN is such a chill country compared to other asian countries. it has a 30% growth rate! love the video!

  • chinese han's

  • alll the girl in here are hot hot

  • THis is hot

  • Qipao should not be considered as Chinese traditional costume. Hanfu is more representative for Han Chinese people.

  • Comment removed

  • chifao is not chinese tranditional dress... for Han ethnic , it is hanfu.. and there are 56 ethnics in china ps all the dresses are lovely!

  • Nice video interesting cultures :D, btw it's Qi Pao not Chi Fao :)

  • 솔직히 상관없지 않나요?

  • @RHFKSL1019 English please.... :(

  • next time put in vietnamese Ao Yem

  • If you are going to ask me why I dont have a date in America, and I would say, " No, my heart is belonged to the Orient, and my love is still waiting there, Suzuka san, no matter how far away that I am living, but I still keep missing you "

  • What is the name of this song ? Its very cool ! Somebody, please let me know the answer !!!!

  • @soulkeeper2912 If you still haven't gotten the song name yet, it's

    Epik High - Umbrella

  • @jjurunida its 'ao dai' not 'ai dao'

  • u east asian think your light skin ? your light skin as african LOL

  • i am japanease 19 years old boy and like all dresses (especially kimono)!!

  • for those who doesnt know ao dai was actually exist before qipao, qipao was invented in 1930 and ao dai was date all the way back during the Trung Sister, the old name for ao dai is Ao Ngu Than, there picture of viet women wearing ao dai during the the nguyen dynasty in 1800s

  • @GuardianDemonX really ?

  • @GuardianDemonX the manchurian cheongsam existed before the ao ngu than (qipao was just a modernized version in the 1920s shanghai). if you look at the ao ngu than, it looks very similar with what the manchus wore during the qing dynasty in china.

as the modernized 1920s shanghai qipao became fashionable, Le Mur's ao dai became fashionable too. coincidence much? maybe not.

  • @TheAZNsRule STUPID FUCK! WHAT a FLIP like you know about AO NGU THAN. You obviously don't know what AO NGU THAN look like. They don't look like nothing like the chinks outfit.

  • @YuDumPhuck i didn't say they looked like chinese outfit, i said they looked like manchurian outfit, the cheongsam. just look at it and compare.

the chinese traditional outfit (hanfu) is not even in this video.....

  • @TheAZNsRule yes,i strong suggest they divide chinese traditional address into several categories.we have 56 ethnic groups.i think they should put at least 4 or 5 styles into this vedio.

  • @GuardianDemonX

traditional qipao is invented by manchus far beyond 1930s. just google it if dont believe it.

  • Comment removed

  • @GuardianDemonX u wrong, qipao already exist in china since 1600, during qing dynasty. U are just trying to change history, haha, go home and read more history books..

  • I like the Japanese and Korean culture very much, but in this video the Vietnamese dresses (and girls) are the best...

    'ai dao' is beautiful

  • all dresses are beautiful

  • vth56 look I think that you took it too seriously I just don't have time to argued with you anymore ... so please stop writting in my email it is (like you previously said) really annoying! I think that you are not normal as a human being to try that hard to argued on this subject. let's pretend that you are right and go find a psycho cuttie...;) I won't answer anymore go ger another person to argued with xxx religion and region jeezzz not okay in your head baby...

  • HAA! u know why? cause i hate when ppl say vietnamese have dark skin, that's really pissed me off, cause in fact, we are not! Im not normal? lol! i think so,! haa! annoying? maybe, but since when u say something not true, there's will be millon ppl outthere wanna annoy u and fix, so u better said things right!

  • Japan traditional dresses seem very cute and innocent looking

Chinese dresses very sexy and temptingkorean dresses where.. kind of unflattering and too bulky

  • @Kuriix As I have mentioned before, the chinese dress show in this video chip are not traditional dress. They are the western outfit with Manchurian elements in it. It was "invented" in the early 20th century and was very popular in Shanghai in 1910-1930.

The real chinese dress in Hanfu.

  • Believe me i wasn't justtalking about this video i know traditional dresses like the chinese hanfu and the more modern Qipao and my statement still stands why? the chinese had more tight fitting dresses which shows the seductive female body. the japanese kimono looks adorable because of the big ass bow on their back and the cute patterns that were mostly used whereass the korean hanbok makes the girl seem like she is flat on top and fat at the bottom and not feminine at all

  • @Kuriix thats because korea was a country which had neo Confucianism as the state religion. neo confucianism stressed modesty and restraint hence the flat top and non revealing clothing

although in our modern society big breasts are 'pretty' that wasnt always the case.....but some modern hanbok designers are creating hanbok inspired clothing which are quite beautiful =]

  • @SuperBonsoir But a kimono is also very non revealing ut still kept it looking normal instead of ridiculous

  • @Kuriix see you can't call anything ridiculous because in those days that was the normal thing, and Japan wasn't a country which practised a neo Confucianism...it was buddhism and shinto...

  • You guys are really mean to Korea...

  • Some 100 ago, there wouldnt be such a debate if Vietnam is this or that because we were no doubt categorised as East Asians culturally, ethnically and geographically . Vietnam back then is what we know as North Vietnam today. You can still experience today a totally different weather from other sea countries like Cambodia and Laos. The Vietnamese got darker with the expansion to the south because of the inter-mixing with Cham and Khmer ethnics and of course the all-year-around hot weather.

  • However, we are still considered light-yellowish-skinned.

Today our land size is dominated on the sea size, so stupid western people categorised us as Southeastasians along with Thais and Indonesians, who have nothing in common with Vietnam at all.

  • Anyway, I find most asians are so much better than koreans. Koreans are the super fugly mongoloid race. Most koreans had plastic surgeries. It is very common, hip, and popular to do in korea for the past 12 years.

  • @skinnyandproud2009 what do you have against korea?

  • I LOVE VIETNAM and AO DAI AND HANBOK! MUHH

  • 4:35 Is that Jang Nara i see????? O_O

  • niice vid ^^

  • There are several errors that you should be aware of:

    a) you spell "traditional" wrong.

    b) official chinese dress is hanfu, not Qipao. Qipao is a westernized Manchurian dress that was popular in Shanghai during 1910-1930. It is not, and should never be, a symbol of Chinese traditional dress. By doing so is a distortion of the true history.

  • @bensontam you're correct regarding the Hanfu. but currently, the traditional Chinese dress is the Qipao. No one wears the Hanfu even in China. This is like saying the top hat and long coat is the traditional dress of England... the past is the past. I like the old Hanfu inspired korean outfits from 1000 AD, but those are no longer the traditional korean outfit.

  • @bensontam

sorry i don't think hanfu is official Chinese dress. There is no official Chinese dress until now. I guess you are a big fan of hanfu, but you cannot ignore the importance of qipao for China. whatever, people can wear what they what, why do we distinguish them so clearly?

  • @hansey0118 I think it's about time to revive the lost of chinese ancient dress. We lost that tradition after the Manchurian invasion in 1644.

Right now, we are still using Manchurian dress to represent China, which means 92% of the Chinese stil admit there are still colonized by Manchurian.

  • Nobdoy cares. THere are too many asian tribal groups in the whole asia continent.

Koreans are mixed asian tribal groups as well. They have less than CHina. Most asian ethnic tribal groups joined To form China cuz the now country called korea seem too weak. Koreans are mixtures of southern siberians, chinese, southeast asian, and east africans. Japan is made up of chinese, ainu, some southern siberians as well.

  • @skinnyandproud2009 : U SOULD LIKE CHINA LIKE EVERY TRIBAL HAVE TO JOIN CHINA OR SOMETHING, SO ANNOYING, CHINA IS NOT THAT GREAT!

  • the chi pao is definitely the ugliest. the kimono and hanbok are the best... so elegant and pretty.

  • koreans = loads of comestic plastic surgeries and 1" makeup.

  • @skinnyandproud2009 have you been to korea you fancy fuck? this is not the case. most korean girls don't have plastic surgery. and they definitely don't cake on make up unless you're a cheap itaewon hooker. instead, korean women always looks clean and elegant and sometimes cute. besides, even if they did have surgery, they still have to have a base to start with. you can start out dark and round and end up light and narrow with plastic surgery.

  • koreansa re so damn plastic. The world crowded south korea the kingdom of the plastic people. Koreans used too much bleaching creame and services to bleach skin is even offered in spas, salons, barber shops, and in some dental offices of south korea. Koreans are naturally very ugly people and that is why korea went big on comestic plastic surgeries. cuz most koreans want and had plastic surgeries and are still ugly though.

  • ok. yes koreans do plastic surgery but naturally very ugly? i don't think so.

  • @ruthieness

every asian countries does it, but japan does more according to stats.

  • They are ugly .

  • dnt worry, he's a chink troll. If you want real plastic surgery , look up the figures and data. South korea is the lowest among asian nations.

  • i love this countrys and her cultures ^^

  • 0:39 Kim Ji-hye

    2:42 Cha Ye-ryun(right)

    2:52~3:02 Lee Young-ah

    4:35 Jang Na-ra

    they are korean actress! cool!hahaha

  • @hyubbb the hanbok and the kimono are easily the prettiest. and they should be. nice ones cost in excess of 5000 us dollars. they are so incredibly intricate and gorgeous. my lady has 2. they were both extremely expensive.

  • o wow!! this is really cute!!

  • I'm indian..and all the costumes look great! This countries are part of the Sinosphere or East Asian Cultural Sphere..

  • Chifao? Not Qipao? :P Anyway gorgeoussss dresses!

  • miss Ao Dai...hic

  • Korea , China , Japan , Viet Nam and other country of Asia should be good friend

  • I'm really biased but I like Hankbok better. It's kind of the oddball of the group, none of the other traditional dresses look anything like it. I really think it's a work of art in itself. I also like the ao dai because of it simple beauty.
