  • awesome motion graphics.

  • This is rare. A promotional about trash (well, technically speaking, it's a promo about making promos about trash) that actually makes you want to stop wasting waste.

  • why you make the dog jump!! D=

  • Am I allowed to enter if I'm from the United States?

  • Yes

  • @SpaceAndrew NO !! Americans keep screwing things up and eventually turn it to some profit making machine which feeds on MarcellusPye's brain .. go and fix ur country first :P ( JK )

  • Why not just show all efforts? spreads awareness in numerous ways...

  • That's the idea.

  • 6.5 million trees were cut to make 16 billion paper cups in 2006, resulting in 253 million lbs of waste, producing 35 million cubic feet of methane decomposing in landfills. Methane is 23 times more potent than CO2 as a green house gas. Including the fossil fuels and coal power in the resource extraction, manufacturing and distribution process adds millions more in CO2. Also, every tree cut for cups no longer absorbs CO2, produces oxygen, or filters groundwater. Those are pretty big potatoes.

  • Say no to disposable coffee cups? That's the environmental theme for the year? Not that that isn't a step in the right direction, but it's hardly world changing. What about climate change, making civilization more sustainable, or endangered species conservation?

    What a disapointing, small-potatoes "challenge."

  • You're right, it is small potatoes. The problem is getting "the masses" to make changes about climate change, sustainability or giving a damn about any endangered species that isn't tasty or cute.

A drop in the bucket is only a drop. A thousand drops in a bucket is a bucketful!

Perhaps once we get the wasteful "drips" taking the first step, they'll get excited about the rest of conservation and sustainability too.

  • I don't know how small the potatoes are when we throw away about 18 billion coffee cups a year in North America. People light their hair on fire over plastic bags. At least you can reuse those for a while. Coffee cups go into the dumpster or get tossed on the street. One issue at a time approach may be the way to go.

  • possibly my favourite part of this is it hat its British Columbian, just like me! :D awesome job!

  • Cool video!

  • FINALLY! You guys should make more videos!

  • This gave me the impression that zombies are wasteful. They don't consume anything, how can they be wasteful?!

  • @MarcellusPye They take one bite outta your brain and move on, instead of eating the whole thing. Very wasteful :D

  • @MarcellusPye EXCEPT FOR YOUR BRAINS!!!

  • That was wicked.

  • excellent video! omgsh!

  • woooooooooo

  • Kewl.

  • That's really good!

  • They used john green's speech on health care on this.

  • Fantastic, well done!

  • I definitely want to win that apple.

  • Haha, awesome video, loved it! Too bad I don't really know how to make videos, or else I'd consider participating in the competition. I mean, sure, I make video game videos, but the video games supply all the graphics and audio for me; I just add voice commentary.

  • Awesome! Maybe we could get this featured? Would definitely be useful. :)

  • at 0:28 It's john Green's Health Care thought bubbler!!!! awesome video by the way

  • cool

  • sweet!!!

  • That's an awesome trailer!! I think you guys should just do the competition. You'd win for sure!

Just fyi... it says "Trailed Trashed" in the description box. You might want to update that.

  • This is pretty freaking awesome!

  • amazing work, nice 1 guys

  • Cool intro. Very nicely done!

  • loved it!!!

  • Apples? Marshmallows? HELL YEAH!

  • Good stuff. Clever, and witty. I know it's just a trailer for something else, but there were still small bits that made me laugh. It'll definitely get some attention. 5/5

  • Oh, this looks simply amazing.

  • this is awesome. I love it. Keep up the good work and I hope people become inspired
