fair enough, but i've personally never heard a shakedown where brent was in charge, post one for me. this song is all garcia, weir and drums to me. i think that's why I like this version, the keys actually take the lead with more force behind the rhythem guitar.

@Dicky79 I respect your own reasons for liking this version. As for the band it is not that brent was in charge because obviously billy k, jerry, and his pedals do the work. But 90% of live versions were played during the brent era and his vocals always came through much more powerfully than pig, constanten, keith, hornsby, or even Welnick. Even though the first two never participated in a SS.
