@rsg39mario i recorded this on a Japanese version of MAME called DDEmeMame but you can play this game basically on every mame version, that really doesn't matter

Hi guys, which screen mode is he using? if i choose original 1, the screen is too short, if i choose original 2, the screen wobbles up and down.

on this video it seems like original 2 but does not wobble. please help. i wanna play with this screen, not original 1 or original 2.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used the default display setting and the dimension of the initially recorded video has bigger height than width, just like the game itself

i'm using PSP, and the screen size available is only original 1 and original 2, and none of the 2 is like in the video which is covering like original 2 without wobbling. Even if i choose the default display setting and the dimension of the initially recorded video still is displaying like original 1 screen mode. any idea?

@wakinchou Okay, I know this reply/comment is a year old, but I just wanted to point out that the guy's comment meant that he has the PS1 version, unlike this one which is obviously the original arcade version (I assumed you're using MAME for this?). Anyway, other than the 2 screen modes, the PS1 version also has the arcade mode, which basically tilts the screen 90 degrees, so from the viewer's perspective, the screen would go from left to right, which is pretty identical to the arcade original.

I seldom used cheats in games, it's kind of spoiling the fun, unless the game designer is too mean to provide me with any ways to make any progress no matter how hard i've tried.

no its cause i beat the game on hard already with the shinden thats why i use cheats to get more kills in.

@Masoukishin I too used to beat this game on a regular basis with a Gameshark PS1 cheat disc, which unfortunately i no longer have because i made the mistake of loaning it (the cheat disc) to my cousin in Indiana & he somehow managed to lose it.

Now. i'm stuck with just the game.

Very nice video!...Ive ported my old PS1 version to my PSP it works very well and have picked up on some of your moves such as using the "smart bomb" when it reaches level 1 as they stay there as you say unlike the reinforments. Youve got some sick moves was that on hard or higher? Also when on Easy the game doesnt loop do you need to be on anything from normal up?

Thanks! The smart bomb you mentioned is the various charge attack of each aircraft right? Hayate does have a very powerful one. And this video is on normal difficulty level. I've never tried easy mode so i don't know if it will loop or not after you complete the first 8 missions. But i think even on easy level accomplishing this task without dying is still quite a feat.
