The Mormon Church has deep pockets. The individual who molested these men as youngsters does not. Why not just file criminal charges against the child molester? Because then there is no money in it for the lawyer or her clients. There was no mention, even, of criminal charges. I guess that the lawyer doesn't particularly care if the child molestor is behind bars or not. Her interest is in the money. I don't know who's character is worse. A child molester's or this attorney.

As yet, I am unmoved by any argument that the Book of Abraham is fiction.

i have no respect for the bsa. ,i had moved to utah when i was10 and got intoboyscouts, because i wasnt a mormon iwas discriminated. i was brought up on roman catholic beliefswhich the boy scouts there werent about.they made it look like i was included but in the ceromonies in which i were to get awards they did not give me them. they said next time they will.and the was a mistake. well next time occured . again they made me look like a fool infront of my family.

The man was using the influence of his "office", as bishop, to create a "relationship of confidence and trust" (just as in cases of Catholic Priests molesting children).

The man used this "position of trust", in an unholy way. The Church is culpable, as well (for the reason that the lady attorney stated).

Actually, Boy Scouts of America is Mormon. I don't know if their lawsuit will hold water, but they probably have been advised to sue "big" so that something catches.

Personally, I think it's a little far fetched, but we don't really know the whole story either.

While Mormons attend BSA there is not evidence stating that BSA and Mormonism.  Is like saying that the BSA is arm of the Catholic church.

Making such a claim without evidence is foolhardy and would not hold in a court of Law.
