I miss my shitzu...gizmo was soo beautiful!!!! but he did bite my sons face & gizmo broke his skin...wasnt good...=( all the training &obedience school,it happened & I had 2 make a diifcult decision..i did fined him a great home...but I think there beautiful dogs .not around my children...
@DYLAN3264 my shih tzu bit my little cousin in the face, but she had it coming, she kept bugging him and picked him up and hurt him so he bit her, smartest dog ive ever seen, but he bit her anyways lol mybe it was your kids fault after all

Yes, ELMMA,it is very strange.I had a Shih-tzu,and 2 kids.He NEVER and i seriously mean NEVER bit them,unless they stepped on him but that was usually a nip.I find that very strange.It probably wasnt a pure-bred,and/or it was treated cruelly before you got him/her.
@DYLAN3264 that's strange, shih tzu are extremely gentle dogs, they never bit and rarely bark, i have one and she loves to nibble on my toes and fingers. one day last year i tried to piss her off, it took me 4 hours when i finally got her to growl at me!
