I was soo F'n annoyed with *First class*...I mean wth!! Emma Frost was grown up, when in the last movie *X-Men origins: Wolverine* She was a child. Then that whole thing with Professor X & Mystique...The story was way out of wack!! They were no where near the comic! The only thing they did right, was Pro X & Eric's relationship. The first 3 movies were WAY better. Hope *The Wolverine* will be better! lol, sorry. Venting, anyway. I agree this anime is AMAZING! Storm could be a bit stronger tho!
OK.. lets be honest anime X MEN, Ironman, and Wolverine were good but were not that good. I mean I felt that the storylines were a little too fast and the dialogue was just bland. I mean the lines were ok, but not great and the storylines were a little too quick it did not give a lot time for development it just felt too rushed. The entertainment factor sucked too I mean these anime did not have that interesting pull to it. I hope Blade is not train wreck like the others.
@MrBrossett22 hmm after the Blade series finished its run on G4 but since some critics deride the Iron Man and Wolverine storyline along with the ridiculous voice acting I do not think Marvel will have any more second season dealings with anime companies in the long run....and no there ain't gonna be no Spiderman anime anytime soon!
Really, really enjoyed this one on the subs, but I think dubbed it's even better b/c the xmen are originally a western production, and western voices IMO always work better for western-themed anime (EG outlaw star, trigun, cowboy bebop, marvel anime). Not all the characters are emo either. Armor is pretty awesome, Beast is all around badass genius, Wolvie is...well...his typical badass self, Emma's great, in fact Cyc and the doc are the only emo ones. MAYBE Jean and Prof. X. But Jean rocks.

It's gems like THIS that are the reason anime was good in the first place. Shit, DBZ is still pretty amazing by the standards of anime released on American TV. It's like "Naruto? Man I saw all of this 15 years ago. Except it was called Dragonball Z."

too bad they have not enough episodes to feature more characters. i think it has something to do wit the budget. hopefully, this anime is successful worldwide, and they will make more series, with more episodes in each series
After the few episodes that I have seen, I love it! I was sort of hoping for the next season of Wolverine and the X-Men instead because they left us hanging in their last season, but nonetheless, this is a great anime.
P.S. DUBBED IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!!! (subbed is much different and more retarded because we are not Japanese and their voices are all the same!)
I think its funny... almost every other Anime has a cat person in it... but its always female... lol so they got the cat-like Beast... close enough? They should have Sunfire for obvious reasons, but personally Id rather see a Season 2 of Wolverine and the X-Men :)

in addition, i've been waiting for a serious, and sick art x-men series for so long i don't think i would mind too much if they made these 5 the original 5. even the bobby is one of my top favs. this show has so much potential to be the best as of lately.
finally looks like they made a serious x-men. i'm biased so i like all x-men installments...but i always wanted a serious/dark version. if only just hearing scoot utter the words "hell" in the trailer.
@Jormungandor yeah the recent avengers cartoon was pretty awesome, till i went and re watched JLU, that took the shine of it a little but it's still pretty good for what it is
Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Colossus are seen in like, the last five minutes of the final episode. They just make cameos. But I'm hopeful that they'll make future seasons and include them.
This show was really well done. I feel like I can't stress that enough. It was so good.

The new Anime Wolverine is much better thenit first looked in the trailer. The first 2 episodes are warm ups but by the 3rd, (latest) the fight scenes are very very good. Looking forward to episode 4
Marvel's animated stuff will never be as good as the DC ones. Except maybe the Spectacular Spider-man and the new Avengers show, those are pretty decent. Not a DC fanboy (take it easy Marvel fanboys), I just get much more enjoyment out of most of the DC cartoons. Under the Red Hood, New Frontier, Johna Hex, Green Arrow, Spectre, Justice League, JLU, all much better than most of what Marvel's brought to the table. They need to step their game up. Just my opinion.
@KittenPryde23 I don't like DC a ton better. I started reading Marvel as a kid and still read more Marvel than anything else. I just think that most of their animated projects pale in comparison to DC's. This one included. Animation was great, character designs were solid and it was one of the stronger releases, but still not as good as a lot of the DC releases. I want something from Marvel that blows my mind with how good it is, and nothing yet has. It's just a personal opinion.

@theroadwarrors no doubt the 90s anime is true classic, but the problem with cartoons is that, they can never make the same type of cartoon like they did for the past 20 years, people will complain, they have to make something new and more action pack every series
Visually, this series is pretty good. Characters... the women are weak. The men don't seem that great either. Don't like Armor being a significant character of any kind. Too much Japanese over the top evil scientists and mutating monsters happening - that just make it feel like any regular anime.
So it was released in April. I have a problem. I don't have G4. I live in Maryland and I have Broadstripe as my cable provider and they dropped G4 from their line-up. Broadstripe will not put G4 back on. So how can I watch the series? Can anyone please help me see the series since I can't see it on TV? Thank you.
i have yet to see an x-men series that can top x-men evolution (my personal opinion people dont start whining bout how 90's x-men or wolverine and the x-men was better) but i am curious with this. it looks decent enough :)
Am waiting for episode 11. It's not bad you know. Armour annoys the crap outta me, and Storms well underpowered, and Emma hardly ever uses her telepathy, but on the whole, really enjoyable. Am so over Wolverine. If he was to fall into a shredder I wouldn't mind at all. He's not as annoying as usual though.

This anime has been out for a while now. Episode 9 just came out recently. So far it's been really good! Worth a download! It's 10 times better then Wolverine and Iron Man anime!

I want this, and this, AND I want that too ! It's goin' to be a bummer. But realisticly, this show couldn't be anymore more sophisticated, polished and well done. AWESOME ! 6 episode in.
I've been watching the japanese version. When it's dubbed I'll be watching it again though, and when it is dubbed and put on dvd, I'll buy it! :D All I can say is it's very good. My biggest compliment is that the art direction is fantastic, the story is too, and the overall thing is nice and ... mature. Thats what xmen animations have been missing for years. It'll definitely appeal to older audiences (Im 22) who remember the original cartoon but being older wanting something more adult.

Why do they put Armor in everything? Is she the new Kitty? And I can totally get behind an anime Nightcrawler. I'm just gonna say it, I want an anime Daken. Why? Because he's already an anime character they put to American comics! But I wish Storm looked like the woman she is. At least in the comics they realized that Storm is a woman, not a little teenage girl.
@Rosebunse The reason these anime's were made were to bring Marvel to a japanese audience, as they don't have Xmen and things there. So obviously they put in Armour since she's Japanese. Plus, you find in most japanese anime's you have the innocent-natured (Dare I say 'meek') young girl who's always "trying her best". Thus, that's why Armour's there to fill that role kinda. That's why she's in this. ^_^
@xmaster2 Armor is in everything...Oh well, at least they are using a relatively new character. But too, they aren't just going for the Japanese fans. They want those freak anime fans. Not just the Japanese ones, but the American ones too. But I'm not disillusioned enough to say that they didn't do this for the "cool" factor. You know this is kinda one of those things geeks dream about :).

They know that some of them may want to read the comics, just like anime fans usually go to manga, and they want those readers. I didn't mean that anime fans are freaks, I just mean that they work in a different way than comic fans. They are younger and usually spend more money.

From both sides, you get people who are completely against the two mixing for some reason. I love both, though am partial to American comics for some reason. Anime is too time consuming. I love whoever did alot of the art for Messiah Complex. Remember? It was such a mix of the anime, it really added to the whole event.
its sad they didnt keep the costumes they really looked amazing in this animation they have it for the first 5 mins of the 1st episode.the animation on this 'anime' is amazing its top noch from the same people that did Afro samurai.the story on the other hand isn't that good to be honest,i could have been much better woven and better devopment,then again this doesnt realy matter because you get caught up the the awesome fight seqences.
I dont get why some people get so worked up about minor details like a more fragile storm, while most of the story, suits and pretty much everything about the original comics is constantly RAPED and deformed on other movie and animation adaptions... Come on.. this looks AWESOME and one of the most faithful x-men adaptations.

@sky9ross Women generally don't have a major role in anime - well, not in the "strong, assertive" category; but the ones that do have those type always work in a guy whose got more wit than them. (It gets annoying/discouraging after a while.)
@sky9ross well in ff 13 the strongest and best characters are two of the girls....and they do have anime like those magical girl anime..though they really arent all that cool when you think about it... err and ghost in the shell oh and black lagoon. but i do admit most of the time when their is a group and they have guys and girls the girls are usually the weakest.
ironman and wolverine anime were horrendous xmen so far im on the fence with it as its not as epic as the trailer (which is the first 5 mins of ep 1).
Well we're into the fifth episode of the anime and i have seen villains except U-Men. I find its boring and lackluster so far, I would've loved to see the age of apocalypse or something that's not played out

I also hope that they dont name this line up to be Xaviers 1st 5 students either.. it wouldnt stop me from watching the show, but that would suck really bad - changing n alternating the characters origins for the sake of their own story line... if anything, I hope they would take this opportunity to tell the story as they should be (mirror to the original comics, but not to the Ultimate crap either.. people r familiar w/ the X-characters, so introducing them as is should be ok - 4 the Japs too.!
@strawswirls the roster is based off astonishing x-men with storm as an addition. Its a new story, which is refreshing as the older 90's one has been beaten to death for so long. And I see it as more challenging to write refreshing tales for characters that don't age or change their dynamic.

Visually, this series is pretty good. Characters... the women are weak. The men don't seem that great either. Don't like Armor being a significant character of any kind. Too much Japanese over the top evil scientists and mutating monsters happening - that just make it feel like any regular anime.

So it was released in April. I have a problem. I don't have G4. I live in Maryland and I have Broadstripe as my cable provider and they dropped G4 from their line-up. Broadstripe will not put G4 back on. So how can I watch the series? Can anyone please help me see the series since I can't see it on TV? Thank you.

Am waiting for episode 11. It's not bad you know. Armour annoys the crap outta me, and Storms well underpowered, and Emma hardly ever uses her telepathy, but on the whole, really enjoyable. Am so over Wolverine. If he was to fall into a shredder I wouldn't mind at all. He's not as annoying as usual though.

This anime has been out for a while now. Episode 9 just came out recently. So far it's been really good! Worth a download! It's 10 times better then Wolverine and Iron Man anime!

The 90's X-Men cartoon also had some bad writin' and plot holes. We can't always NERD-OUT. Keep your inner nerd in check and look at this with some logic. 'Cause if you look at it and say.... I want this, and this, AND I want that too ! It's goin' to be a bummer. But realisticly, this show couldn't be anymore more sophisticated, polished and well done. AWESOME ! 6 episode in.

I've been watching the japanese version. When it's dubbed I'll be watching it again though, and when it is dubbed and put on dvd, I'll buy it! :D All I can say is it's very good. My biggest compliment is that the art direction is fantastic, the story is too, and the overall thing is nice and ... mature. Thats what xmen animations have been missing for years. It'll definitely appeal to older audiences (Im 22) who remember the original cartoon but being older wanting something more adult.

think this is gonna be better than the american attempts...face it x men evolution, wolverine and the x men were kind of childish.... this may bring some maturity to the storylines and action... cant wait to see wolverine fighting... and the art work is way better than any previous x men cartoons.

Because he's already an anime character they put to American comics! But I wish Storm looked like the woman she is. At least in the comics they realized that Storm is a woman, not a little teenage girl.

@Rosebunse The reason these anime's were made were to bring Marvel to a japanese audience, as they don't have Xmen and things there. So obviously they put in Armour since she's Japanese. Plus, you find in most japanese anime's you have the innocent-natured (Dare I say 'meek') young girl who's always "trying her best". Thus, that's why Armour's there to fill that role kinda. That's why she's in this. ^_^

@xmaster2 Armor is in everything...Oh well, at least they are using a relatively new character. But too, they aren't just going for the Japanese fans. They want those freak anime fans. Not just the Japanese ones, but the American ones too. But I'm not disillusioned enough to say that they didn't do this for the "cool" factor. You know this is kinda one of those things geeks dream about :).

They know that some of them may want to read the comics, just like anime fans usually go to manga, and they want those readers. I didn't mean that anime fans are freaks, I just mean that they work in a different way than comic fans. They are younger and usually spend more money.

I mean, you get the traditional original X-Men comics compared to some new story arc where the art is VASTLY different but it's still considered a comic. If that makes sense. To me Anime and Comic are the same thing, just with varying art.

From both sides, you get people who are completely against the two mixing for some reason. I love both, though am partial to American comics for some reason. Anime is too time consuming. I love whoever did alot of the art for Messiah Complex. Remember? It was such a mix of the anime, it really added to the whole event.

its sad they didnt keep the costumes they really looked amazing in this animation they have it for the first 5 mins of the 1st episode.the animation on this 'anime' is amazing its top noch from the same people that did Afro samurai.the story on the other hand isn't that good to be honest,i could have been much better woven and better devopment,then again this doesnt realy matter because you get caught up the the awesome fight seqences.

I dont get why some people get so worked up about minor details like a more fragile storm, while most of the story, suits and pretty much everything about the original comics is constantly RAPED and deformed on other movie and animation adaptions... Come on.. this looks AWESOME and one of the most faithful x-men adaptations.

ironman and wolverine anime were horrendous xmen so far im on the fence with it as its not as epic as the trailer (which is the first 5 mins of ep 1).
Well we're into the fifth episode of the anime and i have seen villains except U-Men. I find its boring and lackluster so far, I would've loved to see the age of apocalypse or something that's not played out

I also hope that they dont name this line up to be Xaviers 1st 5 students either.. it wouldnt stop me from watching the show, but that would suck really bad - changing n alternating the characters origins for the sake of their own story line... if anything, I hope they would take this opportunity to tell the story as they should be (mirror to the original comics, but not to the Ultimate crap either.. people r familiar w/ the X-characters, so introducing them as is should be ok - 4 the Japs too.!

@strawswirls the roster is based off astonishing x-men with storm as an addition. Its a new story, which is refreshing as the older 90's one has been beaten to death for so long. And I see it as more challenging to write refreshing tales for characters that don't age or change their dynamic.

I was just trying to say (in so many words, due to space limitations.. that the X-Men r pretty much a household name now; most people know of them - so hopefully this anime will tell new stories that we can enjoy, w.out butchering any of the characters origins, as they have in the past animated shows n movies... hope Im making sense =)
