  • The first car I ever owned was a 1941 Chevy. That was in 1966, and it was just a cheap used car. I paid $65 for it, earned working the summer for a beekeeper. Since I was 14, my mom drove it all the time. We used it to move from Colorado to Arkansas, where my mother eventually burned out the clutch and traded it for a wringer washer.

  • who is you dad's friend??? i need him to work on MY 41... i cant drive it around town!! i need his help! i am in LA cali.. get me his info.. thanks..

  • I agree with galaxie63punk, that was a good trade.. 17 with a 41 chevy? You're doing things right, keep doing what you're doing boss. Post more vids!!!

  • good trade

  • Hey man im the 17 year old owner of a 51 pontiac. these old cars really give you something to do and a lot of satisfaction when youre dirving them huh? if youve got the primer grey over bare metal, dont get the unsealed primer wet too much because its pourus and will seep through and rust from within. im about to prime mine in grey temporarily as well and thats what i heard. i hope youre going the traditional route with this!

  • Very cool....just making a deal on a 41 chevy coupe. Going far from original on it though.....383 chevy small block stroker, mustang 2 front end, ford 9 inch in the rear, wanted a 4 speed for it, but the wife says she'll burn up the clutch in no time, so auto it'll have to be. Nice ride bud.

  • hey this is my car ha ha thanks angel.

  • cool video you should make a vid of you driving it

  • @godfatherJP1993. Yeah thats actaully my next step.. i primered the car grey and put some white walls on it so now it looks way better. New vid is comming soon.

  • sounds like a 2 stroke weedwacker. love the car though.

  • Reference to the engine, I thought only the 216 engines were available in 1948.

  • @dcrj46. My mistake. I meant to put 49 fleetline. My bad. I just havent had time to change it yet. Thanks

  • @dcrj46 they had 216s all the way back to 38

  • @460fordtruckman The 37 Chevy had 216 motors. Before that?

  • @dcrj46 ooops i forgot they had em to i believe 34 or 35

  • doesn't sound the greatest though :\ may just be your camera.

  • @2pac591. Yeah I think it is just the quality of the camera. This is one of those little digital cameras that suck. It sounds way better with an actual camera recorder or in person. Thanks for the comments though.

  • mint!
