hey, how do they decide who get's what part? like, 1st? 2nd? etc..

they say it's "random" but im pretty sure they place you by your audition

@Trumpetman123 well that doesn't seem too fair if it was "random" =/ cuz that means that depending on who got what, you could have like, a REALLY shitty performance haha so what part did you get? o_O and how did that work out for the show? good? bad? should you have gotten something different? details details details!! haha

i was on first part. yeah, i don't think it's random either. it was good, i'm a lead trumpet player anyways and i felt like i was giving the correct part. it made me work too, so it was a nice challenge. i was definitely satisfied with my part and i was more than capable of playing 1st. yeah, there were only 4 first trumpets if i remember correctly :)

@Trumpetman123 ok sweet sweet haha cuz like, i just wasn't sure if like, they sent you the part then you tried out(via video recording) on that =/ but yeah, i'm hoping to make it this year and get first part haha cuz i'm a lead player too, and it seems like it would be pretty cool!

they have audition music somewhere. you could also ask your band director. i have the music from the show somewhere on my desktop at home, but im at school in WA so i don't have access to it. as far as i'm concerned, the show music hasn't changed in a while

like, there's a part at the end with America the Beautiful and it sounds TIGHT! haha

i just watched this past year's show and the music is different, so i guess they finally decided to change the music after our year.

it was basically me and this other guy pumping it out there. it was a fun show, very fast and exciting
