@CaseyMcLaughalot ...honestly, if you want it to look good.. it's going to cost a lot. if you re-use parts its gonna show. depends how good you want it to look. If I were you i would strip it all 100% out and start back upf rom the ground using old and new parts. what about the seats?
@dantae666 ...thats actually not thatttt bad. what you see here is mostly surface rust. if it's bad enough you will have to weld new floors in. depends how bad it is. this could have ben blasted and then POR-15'ed.
@67mustangreg not bad at all, im doing my monte carlo and discovered a bunch of rust under the back seats and holes in the front, got a good deal on it and knew it needed work so its no big deal, but holy shit is there a lot of polishing and grinding involved, I start welding the pans in this week, as well im using fiberglass on parts where metal can't really be welded in, in my opinion, what do you think?
@Airportris .. fiberglass is fine. it all comes down to how good of a job do you want to do and will anybody actully crawl under your car to see? fiberglass is okay just make sure that you cut out the hole, patch it right, seal it and stop future rust. I had a '68 nova I restored with holes so big you could put your foot on the pavement from the drivers seat.
@Airportris .. if theres really much of a problem I would strip out your interior and weld a whole new flor pan in. I know for mustangs and most older chevys they are cheap. hopefully you can weld pretty well or know comebody who can.
@67mustangreg I am very much a newbie, So i know it won't be perfect, I do have floor pans for certain section by not the back seats, I will just use fiberglass for the small rust spots that turned to holes. Never welded before lol.. but my neighbor is a welder and said he would show me and get me started, He Said its not as hard as people think it is... but we will see.. thanks for your time.. Good luck on your future projects
