Excellent movie about Epic of Shahnaameh by Ferdowsi. It is made in the Opera Format, very creative and original; all speeches are rhymed in Persian with slight Tajik touch of accent.

iranian gover ment made from torks and arabs .which both hated ancient iran and shahname.thats whay all iranian movies is about history of safavid ,qgajar or shia or moslem leaders.same thing duringshah.he was half tork and his wife farah was inferior race tork with dark skin.

It's a good start point for achieving movies as mature as Ferdowsi's Great Sahnameh deserves,

Hope stupid Iranian governments also turn their foolish direction of not appreciating Persian ancient history/culture,

I personally think if Ferdowsi didn't save Paarsi language by creating Shahnameh, we (Iranians, Tajiks, Afghans, Kurds, ...) migh all be talking Arabic now! (you know Paarsi was forbidden for over 2 centuries in Pesia by Arabs),

Thank tothe people who posted this film on the YouTube! Having in mind the 1992-1997 Civil War in Tajikistan and some events in Afghanistan one could realize that we, Tajiks have never learned from the history. Our Rustams always have been killing our Suhrobs. That is our national tragedy and the new generation is obliged to think why it is happening at the high of the national revival? Could we save our Rustans and Suhrobs in the future? Is it the last chance for us to make our new history?

It really is,and the answer is the Iranian government doesnt like the ancient history of Iran,in fact no movie can be found about pre-islamic Iran and that is only because Pahlavis(the government before them) used to praise ancient Iran.
