Catholicism, as i understand it, doesnt "worship" saints. they sent their prayers to God through saints, because saints are really angels, and angels are messangers of God, according to Christianity. now, Santa is not a saint. he has little influence from Saint nicholas. most of his imagry comes from pagan gods like Odin or Pan.

I love to watch this movie. I truely beleive it happened this way. The Christ child was born but it may not have been on christmas. I do beleive the North star, which is constant even today. Is the star that came to pass when he was born. I cry every time i watch this movie, because what so ever you do to my brother you do to me. The guy's name is in the bible and the koran. I think these two ancient books could pass off as Jesus' birth certificates. Even the Jews acknowledge the existence of a Jesus of Nazareth as a first century rabbi. Kind of difficult to disprove his existence when he's everywhere cross-culturally . Now whether you believe him to be the Son of God, a prophet or a rabbi depends on you. Jesus is Jesus. He's awesome.

@NeoSoftwarePWNXORZ Superman is in a lot more comic books that were published in recent decades. That must be a much more solid proof of Superman's existence than that of Jesus, who is only mentioned in a couple of ancient books.

@gupsphoo If we take out the birth, miracles and resurrection of Jesus, which frankly were interpretations made by the apostles, then Jesus becomes a guy who grew up like any ordinary human and did good things in his life, with normal human hands. Without the miracles, he's more realistic than Superman. Believing all his miracles to be true is a Christian thing. I'm Catholic and I assume you aren't. I can't force you to believe in Jesus' divinity, but you can't make me believe otherwise.

@NeoSoftwarePWNXORZ You're right. The existence of Jesus as an ordinary human being would be more believable if we could take out the supernatural things associated with him. Unfortunately, the Bible is more absurd than Superman comics.
Anyway, I like your way of interpreting your religion.

Ran out of space there. However, I can at least tell you about the the human things he did do. I think that's the perfect way of talking about Jesus universally. It's not about him being God. That's a Christian-only belief. What matters to the secular world today is what he did when he was alive and that was to aspire for a society where no one is poor or oppressed.
