I realize your not a pro with the camera, some hints for you, leave it on something and it won't get the bobbing a weaving effect, also the panning back and forth just gets people dizzy.. The video is good though, well done

next time you have a storm like this ... take that camera to a clearing ... a park, or get on a roof (you'll enjoy the show alot more (and so will we ))

there is NO safe distance if you're outdoors. when there's lightning and/or thunder outside you should already be indoors! no place outside is safe
