i remember there was one hostage taking here in the phils in the 1990's where a man taken hostage a 3 year-old girl and due to cops dumb and stupidity when they got the chance to shoot the man, all the cops with the gun aimed and shoot at the hostage taker and 5 bullets hit the kid and died!
the hostage taker was already dead on the ground with the kid beside him but the fucking cops won't stop shooting!
i'm a filipino but cops here are the dumbest cops on earth i think!
But the next time this happens, the Police need to stay well away and make sure they dont allow al their family etc to walk around as if its a tourist attraction. Filipinos are very immature dealing with issues like this
Congratulations my fellow countrymen coz u made the Philippines No.1 for title of 'The Most Dangerous Country In The World'. Our country is now blacklisted in other countries coz when you go here ...you'll never live to see home again which is the case of the tourists in the bus. Perhaps these tourists are lucky coz they are blessed with the 'Special Tour' that you can only get in the Philippines.
Now my countrymen you tell the world that 'I AM PROUD TO BE PINOY'
1) a strong halogen lamp towards the bus can distract the hostage taker and it can enhance visibility for the SWAT
2) the door is stupidly addressed, it's a hydraulic system that wont open when damaged, besides it should be kept clear for possible exit of any possible survivor who could eventually sneak out
3) simultaneous distraction from all ends should be done
4) any signs of hostage death warrants immediate attempt to get in for possible revival of any signs of life
Because CNN thinks that their US audience isn't interested in world news.
I wish it was still on the air. It is essential for CNN to provide international news to all of their audiences, and CNN also has the edge with other cable news channels by having more of an international presence than, say, Fox.
exactly. how can a channel claim to be a world leader in international news when the US isn't even a part of their international broadcasting audience? god i miss hala gorani
CNN has a lot of potential, but they don't utilise their overseas production centers and bureaux like they should. Instead, they focus in competing with Fox in the US in a rat race to see who has the most sensationalist reporting.

I didn't know that CNN America joins up with CNNI for breaking news. I don't watch Cnn. Only bbc. It was good to see Adrian again!

nah! it's usually the OTHER WAY.
CNNI simulcast with CNN-USA on Breaking News... but this is unusual and weird.
