I had a `71 Sprint. I needed a good place to work on it. It was stolen from me before I got that oppertunity. I originally wanted a Beaumont, but I loved that car.
another thing is the excelent tech help, ive called the offices to ask some questions as ive gone along and they are great and really make the customer feel appreciated....(i dont work for them, lol, just love the product)its sleeper written all over it..
@motojeff All our shop cars are daily drivin... For this application the stock 60lb injectors were used. Fuel pressure is increased with boost so that helps. If over 600 hp you would want to upgrade to 75's or 80's.
@lilkvn92, I really have no idea. 1972 SBC 350, first year of smog, probly big chambered heads and low comp. like around 8.5:1 I'm thinking. I do know the Factory HP rating was only 175 and 280tq :-/ When the Vortech got Installed i had 100 torque to the PIII software to get the fueling corrected :-)
Well if I'm driving the car, its hard, lol I average 12-13. Took a rode trip up north once and got 16 if I remember right, that's was just a steady cruse at 75mph/2650RPM
Question. Im thinking about getting the powerjectioniii How is it compared to a carb? please explain.. I want it for better gas mileage.. does it help? please compare it to a carb performance wise and gas mileage.. I have a 67 mustang 289
@twopoints87 Night and day difference between the PIII and a carb. Awesome cold start up, throttle response and drivability. all i have to do is look at my car and it starts every time. mine ran so much better with the PIII that i drove the car harder and actually got worse mpg
@dodgesponge, Ahh yes, I was waiting on a smaller pulley. Now I'm taking the Vortech off for the new motor that's going in so I abandoned that idea. The biggest pulley comes on the Vortech which made 5.75lbs @ 5000rpm. Another car we had it on made 8lbs at about 6500.
The PIII system is super easy to tune. It's the simplest you will find that still has all the features of more complicated systems. The more knowledge you have to start with only makes it easier.
@RandallFlaggNY "Jack your laptop into it" ??? If you mean connect it to your laptop and tune the system, yes, its required. You must initially setup the max torque, manifold type, and cam type.
@dodgesponge , Which pulleys are you referring to? The blower or the others? The drivability is fantastic! I look at the car and it starts, I really couldn't ask it to run any better than it does. I am running four 62lb injectors at the moment. I have run the 75's also... they both work great.

Man I had a 1972 SS 402 Elky and LOVED it! Awesome SPRINT and BAD A** S/C setup! 10 out of 10 !

@RotorMedic7 Right on man, thanks a lot!
FOXCRF450RIDER 1 year ago
If we removed the GMC emblems, we would lose what defines this car as unique. It may as well be an Elky.

@gwm666 Yes the SPRINT is definitely more RARE. The big SS's look COOL, but I wouldn't change it either...(and I had a 72 SS 402).

Thanks for the video and your responses. I have a Pantera and am looking at the PWR INJ 3 . Seems like it is much more drivable.
Also, Did you have to up the fuel injector size for the boost?

Hi,
I read your were waiting on a smaller pulley to get more boost. What's your actual boost? Is it "easy as pie" to tune the EFI?
Thanks,
