  • Lolz, Engine Inoperable, seen that a handful of times =P The Corsair just very well might be the best plane in IL2. I am convincing myself of that after finding out how much more manuverable a plane becomes w/ 75 and 50% fuel load. A few advantages im seeing over the Spitfire is, Corsair rolls faster, handles better then the Spit at lower speeds. Plus it is stable when it fires, the 1C has so many cannon rounds I usually land w/ 10 seconds left on my ammo =D

  • @CMDRFandragon When I used to play multiplayer I found out that the Zero was the best plane I could fly. It was slow, and really shitty in terms of endurance. A few bullets would start a fire with ease. However it was so stable at low speed and no one corners as well as it did. I could out turn a Spitfire so easily. Most people that Boom & Zoom would also have an hard time hitting me because i could turn really fast at the last moment.

But the plane is really fragile. Tks for the comment :)

  • The thing about the realism settings in IL2 is that they are too strong. The torque and gyro effects, wind, redout and blackout especially. Most pilots can tolerate up to about 6 or 7 Gs with not much problem for a few minutes. In IL2 I took turns that I know would generate less than 2 Gs and I immediately started seeing the blackout.

  • @HalcyonSkies well, maybe pilots back in the time of WWII weren't as ready for G's as we are now :) The Stuka Pilots blacked out and fainted very often due to the safety switch the bomber had to avoid hitting the ground at full speed when they were diving. Also, the average age of the fighter pilots would probably be lower than now, 21 maybe? they were really young. Thanks for the comment :)

  • @RavenRof I suppose, though I've heard stories of WW2 pilots pulling 9+ gs and with the adrenaline going they claim to have never felt it. I have had the incredible privilege of corresponding with a P-51 Mustang ace (Clarence E "Bud" Andersen) over email, and the way he talks, G forces, while still a factor in flight and something you have to watch out for, it was more the adrenaline and aggressiveness of the pilots, you could shrug a good amount of G off. It depends on the person I suppose :)

  • @HalcyonSkies I have to agree with you. =)

  • @HalcyonSkies Also, i believe there is a tactic in IL2 to get your pilot ready for some hard G's. Can't reall remember and can't confirm but i think if you pulled some G's before really pushing the limit, you could sustain more G's. Dont quote me on that though.

  • Zero... Nice song

  • that song is the song of ace combat.

  • your realism settings makes this great simulator like a arcade...

  • ah, i thought no one would ever notice xD

So true, but i was bored cause the i was having internet problems, so i decided to play singleplayer for a while. Infinite Ammo and Icons were on because i just wanted to have fun.

  • I thought you might just get away with it when you banked away, I was wrong!

  • well... i was in the middle of the ocean so... i had no where to go besides the island =D

  • Great Song man

and who needs a propeller anyways????

  • Not me for sure! :D

    thanks the comment

  • we lost the propeller!

    details!

  • haha xD

yeah who needs a propeller anyway...

  • i'm still amazed how you did that. it hardly made any difference. :D well, the landing was a little sloppy, but anyway. :P

  • aww it was easy, since i had just came from a dive i had enough speed to glide around easily. the landing was bumpy yeah, couldnt find any roads x__x

im lucky the gear didnt brake =]

  • which IL2 is this?

  • hmm this one was probably IL2 with the expansion Pacific Fighters. ATM im playing IL2 1946 wich is the most recent with all expansions and patches in one box.

  • so is IL2 1946 an actual game or an expansion?

  • IL2 1946 is a game.

Its il2 sturmovik + ace expansion pack + pacific fighters + all the patches.

U install it like a normal game, u dont have to install every single pack. Just install it once and u got them all

  • is that the music from ace combat zero: the belkan war

  • Yes it is. Not sure if thats the correct title, but it is from ace combat

  • k just wondering

  • NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAB

  • Gtfo

  • Hehe, that looked like an adventure! So if I'm correct, that was Iwo Jima, wasn't it? Haven't seen pics of it in a while, I'm not sure... And nice music choice! Ace Combat Zero is the PWNT!

  • Yeap, thats Iwo Jima and the mountain i had the pleasure to bump in is Mountain Suribachi.

    =]

  • Cool, I thought so! Last I saw of it was the last mission in Heroes of the Pacific for PS2... I had never played a sim back then, now after getting used to IL2, HotP should be pretty easy...

  • I would would have bailed out

  • Yeah, that would have been wise hehe

  • Great video with a happy ending. I think you chopped the heads of the two Japanese AAA gunners with your wing, lol..

  • >=] I wont die without giving a fight!

  • I have Pacific Fighters as FB+AEP+PF 4.04. What are all the arrows at the edges of the screen? I have never had those. BTW, great video!

  • oh thats pointing enemies and friendlies >_>

im kinda lazy and i didnt remove those. You can put them ON or OFF on the dificult menu.

  • lol

  • how did you mangage to survive! the funniest thing that happened to me was over the ratio, the comps kept asking no. 9 to bail, yet his plane was fine, but what happened wsa he was killed flying straight so he didnt crash till a few mins later xD

  • Yeah that happens if they kill the pilot but the plate is +/- stabilized xD. That happened with me, i got shot in a Multiplayer dogfight and since the plane wasnt damaged, only the pilot got killed, I flew in a straight line for a few minutes xD.

Il2 has some neat damage details. Tks for the comment

  • great! frantic images and music!

  • Thanks. This was my first movie, kinda lacks some work xD.

  • LOL How did you miss hitting Surabachi with everything but your prop??? LOL

  • Lmao dunno it was really tight xD. I had to land on a hostile zone too xD

  • Ja, I saw that! Did you actually run over that AAA?!? LOL

  • yeah xO

i was like "uff... im safe now..."

    *sees bullets passing by*

    "... oh great... just great..."

xD almost shopped theyr heads off with the wing xD
