I'd totally regret we will see this a week tomorrow on the vintage TOTP repeats on BBC Four and in full too with DH and the on-screen DOG will probably spoil it :)
@bugstrut Hi again. Liverpool Express had these big hits: You Are My Love (1976) Hold Tight (1976) Every Man Must Have A Dream (1976) Dreamin`(1977) All the best Chimbo Chimbo`s Revival Denmark
back in the 80s i was a waiter & was working at a party thrown by bill kenwright for all the performers his shows in the west end at the time-anyway liverpool express were the band booked to entertain them & i got talking to them as they were setting up & told them this song had been one of my fave singles when i was a kid-blow me down, when they were introducing the song they dedicated it to me! brilliant!
um classico do rock nos anos 70. a letra e linda e infelizmente poucos conhecem esta musica. os arranjos sao lindos com influencia de uma orchestra no final.
beautiful song from that christmas of 76.brilliant orchestral arrangement and love those dreamy strings!why did they not make more of these masterpieces!!?. WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Nice song. Who wrote the words to this song?

Im a victim of BBC4 Have only heard this there - which brought me here
Brilliant song.
I have to admit when he sings 'I used to be a dreamer.. 2:10 ' I expect him to sing 'And im not the only one' (Lennon, 'Imagine')

I absolutely loved this at the time and I've always wondered why it didn't make it into the top ten. Better than today's crap anyway.

Liverpool Express = class.
A wonderful underrated band, if there's no place in music for this kind of quality then the likes of Cowell are responsible.
Come on people - ditch the X-Factor karaoke crap and support REAL TALENT !!

@Chimbo65 I'm from Merseyside myself, and I've never heard of them. Where they big?
bugstrut 1 year ago
@bugstrut
Oh yes.
They had four big hits in the seventies.
The leadsinger Billy Kinsley was(and is now again)from The Merseybeats.

@Chimbo65 Okay, thanks. I was born in 1976, but I'm usually up on old music. Then again, I'm more into Funk and Soul.
