I hope Buddhists will help stop animal sacrificing out of ignorance as millions of poor helpless animals are being slaughtered everyday to satisfy our taste buds and bellies. Many Buddhists are still eating a lot of animal flesh. We are slowly killing all the animals and ourselves in the end. Vegetarian diet is the right diet for this day and age, so much good veggie avail, eating meat is a form of violence, practice Buddha's message of Love and Non-violence ! Animals are sentient beings too !

@TheLengend589 I appreciate the fact you care for plants too. But we cannot compare the level of consciousness between animals and plants, plants have a much lower level of consciousness. We DO NOT have to eat animals to stay alive. Buddha was very clear in the Mahayana Buddhist sutras that 500 years after his Nirvana, his followers should not eat meat anymore. Even though we call ourselves Buddhists, it does not mean we can always practise what the Buddha taught, but we have to set our goal !
