@BluePancake1000 For what purpose? Forester is more agile than Outbacks (in offroad conditions), but it has smaller passenger and luggage space. In our country there are some differences in engines (e.g. no turbo engines in Outbacks). I prefer Outback :-)
@BluePancake1000 Outback and forester are both great, forester has higher ground clerance but it is anyway very comfortable. Also very agile since it is mased on impreza. Outback has more space, smaller tyres and looks better.
Try to get one with manual transmission and low range. Low range is very good on snow, for braking, for slow descends and for pulling. And you can engage low range whenever you want, at any speed.
@Mopedwille Outbacks are really great cars! One problem with 2.5 automatic could be, that it uses MPT transfer solution often. Which model year do you want? Try to look after car with VDC stability control - it uses VTD transfer - it have third differential gearing between axles.
I have MY2001 2.5 AT with VDC - so I have VTD transfer.
Which car is best, the 2000 outback, the 2005 outback, or the 2003 forester?

@HondzikCZ hmm... So would u suggest the 2003 outback for the snow?

@BluePancake1000 2003 Outback is OK. I recommend model with H6 engine (4AT + VDC).
