Sarah Palin is nothing more than a shill for big oil. Since becoming Governor she has spent most of her time advocating for drilling in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge, and lobbying for Exxon and BP where her husband has been employed for over 20 years.

She is also an advocate for shooting wolves and bears from airplanes and helicopters. This is illegal in every state except Alaska due to a loophole in federal law. She is ignorant on national issues and on foreign policy. Not this time.

BTW Voting present is a way for Senators in Ill. to say they have a problem with parts of the bill that is being voted on. It is not a way to not make a decision. It is a way of saying i could say yes if x.y.z. where addressed.

it is not something unique to Sen. Obama. The option of present was placed there so ALL Ill. Senators could express decent on parts of legislation.

A bill that comes to the state senate is usually not a simple YES or NO vote, because it is pages and pages of line items.

I think the number of present votes actually shows Obama actually looked into the bills he voted on with a keen eye.
