@kevinjamesryan The airplane does have the ability to do a loop, If the pilot is skilled enough to use proper energy management... AND, does the maneuver safely and doesn't over stress the airframe. However, aerobatics are not recommended, somewhat stupid, and prohibited in a 172.
Why do people put videos of them doing something in an airplane and then you look at the video and it is a flightsimulator. No offence but you should clearly state that it is a flightsimulator and not the real thing.

As opposed to an outside maneuver, where you push forward on the yoke/stick. Secondly, there is no need to gain speed on your "inside" loop, which is actually an outside loop. You start at the top at minimum speed, push forward, don't worry, you'll gain all the speed you need in the dive.
