y'odm, vmware, ubuntu, madotate.

set the vmware drive to look for a virtual drive 2 then disable virtual drive 1 and tell virtual drive 2 to be master then set it to an iso which you name and set your ubuntu installer iso to that name and it will "boot" to that "disk" as if it were in your own drive and then you can install it to your virtual drive without touching your hard drive.
