  • Blackadder on guitar.

  • @BarryDennen12 Fuck you leave Ritchie alone.

  • Er no, fuck you - Blackadder's awesome, Ritchie is awesome, and I'll fucking say so if I want.

  • @BarryDennen12 Okay sorry there's just a lot of Backmore loathers all over yourtube.

  • das sind/waren die Besten...

  • I listend to this album when nobody else did.. Ten years later in the year 82. MTV was haten it did not play 60s 70s hard rock, rarely not this anyways, They played shit that didnt last years later in future, MTV thought they played not knowing the future days gone past

  • soon i discovered this rock thing was true, jesus was the fisherman or maybe a carpenter or some shit, im not sure so i ramalong longed my old school metal and just stayed in bed hahahahahahaahahahahaahahahaha

  • Jesus doing vocals for deep purple. Awesome! For you kids scratching your heads...(Jesus Christ superstar) Google it

  • @jbeng1953 not that many know that Gillan was the most successful cast for JC Superstar Opera.. so be paternally tolerant to thoese the ignorant..

  • 0.0094022 % dislikes this !?! WTF!!!!

  • my fav jam when ni was young and single, had the ride, time, freedom. - now theres a cop every 4miles. cant ride like i used to these days :)

  • cara... isso é muito raro!!!

  • Did you notice Ian Paice at 00:25?

  • fuck.. that riff is so fucking sexy

  • Can it ever get better than this!!??

  • what is jon lord jamming at the begining. sounds so familiar

  • In the first 1:30 did the percussion consist entirely of Richie's tape loop machine?

  • 41 people are died..

  • 41 people are robots without any feelings.

  • k, this is bad-ass - i fully believe in the mighty healing power of deep purple's ferocious, balls out rock, BUT (and i know i'm gonna take much shit for this) i reeeeeeeaaaaaaalllly wish john lord hadn't run his organ through a marshall stack AND a leslie; a lot of the magic of the leslie is washed out. he coulda run four leslies if he wanted to and it would have CRUSHED with the natural grinding distortion they provide.

i'm nit picking here and history clearly gives me the finger, but...

  • @wallacesan1 chupate una pija

  • 41 people are just lazy

  • Eric Clapton or Richie Blackmore? Eric doesn't deserve to be in Richie's presence. Blackmore is three times the guitarist that Page ever was.

  • @1bigcok The main riff of 'Lazy' is inspired by Eric Clapton. For another example the Mandrake root is totally 'Foxy lady' by Jimi Hendrix. Ritchie Blackmore was genious in covering different songs and turns them into his own style!

  • 6:48

amazing , no singer can do that, just him Ian Gillan is "THE" singer

  • straight ass performance. amazing song fantastic band.

  • I'm pretty sure the phrase "Oh my lord" was coined from this concert, in reference to how kick ass the organ playing was.

  • Legen. Wait for it. Dary.

  • Definitely THE most talented hard rock band of all time. The secret is that these fellows were influenced by jazz, blues, classical, baroque and God knows what else, while every band since the mid-70"s has mainly been influenced by the final product(s)......such as the Legendary Deep Purple. Thanks for the upload themule66

  • Ian.

  • deep purples sound has a hell of a lot to do with my organ - jon lord

  • Timeless!

  • You don't make no effort, no not like you should..

  • Pretty good for almost 40 years ago...

  • One of the best performances of all time by one of the greatest bands of all time! OOOOAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWHHHHHHH! I can barely stand up!

  • Deep Purple is one of the greatest bands of all time. It's really sad that most people only know them for stuff like "Smoke On The Water" and "Woman From Tokyo". Those are good songs, but it's the stuff you don't hear on the radio that's the best!! (you might hear this song on the radio once in a great while, but you know what I mean)

  • Now thats alot of amps

  • @MoPower2112

Which is probably why no-one today sounds that good. 60's and early 70's bands had huge backline amplification because the PA was vocals only. For sure, they all went deaf, but you don't get that sound nowadays; a pity, it was a great sound. We won't hear its like again.

  • @graham62k lol i spent 10 minutes trying to find the comment u replied to but couldnt, so ill take your word and also agree with you, we need more bands playing 8x10s and stuff :D

  • Here is music madeby hand and head, and not such as Biebers and other shit canned.

  • great song

  • Those guys just crazy! Love this video!!

  • this is amazing...... i am brazilian, but i love deep purple...... and fuck off!!!!!!!!!

  • wow wow and one more wow

  • Este video aun y en blanco y negro es una REAL JOYA..... Atrapar en este momento, en este concierto a Deep Purple fue historico.... de las 5 mejores bandas de todos los tiempos... y tal vez el mejor guitarrista (Blackmore)

  • Goodtimes that drugs get inspiracion !

  • SUPER-LONG jam!

  • Jon is the Lord!

  • Whatta bunchabadassses,holy shit!!!!

  • No sin in not being in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, lots of great bands are not in it, J Geils Band, Foghat etc.

Ritchie Blackmore, one if not the most under-rated guitarists of all time.

  • ritchie at hiss best

  • moram da jednu smotam

  • deep purple, along with all of the other greats not in the rock n roll hall of fame are too good to be in it. let the hall of fame have their shitty one hit wonder pop bands and sell outs like metallica. it would be an insult to dp if they were in the hall of fame with those shitty music. i hope dp never gets in, because they are too good of a band

  • Супер!!!

  • Great Lord!!!

  • Music Bands. They just don't make'em like this anymore.

  • that guitarist is one ugly mother fucker. good music though

  • this song can only be played once in a lifetime like this...

  • Esta es una super-rola.... de lo mejor... excelentes musicos, alta calidad... no necesita mas palabras para describir a deep purple.

    Simply the BEST,

  • @fineart10 exactamente hombre !!!!

  • amps in the Hammond are cranking out their own tune

  • The Mars Volta's Fathers

  • 3:00 focus, ritchie, focus!!

  • Excelente. La mejor banda de la historia

  • Ian Paice - what a legend!

  • sos vago estas simplemente tirado en la cama/no necesitas dinero, no necesitas pan/sos vago.

  • Shit hot. When bands were creative with the music, thier sound and the presentation. No relying on gimmicks and crap to sell...they don't make 'em like they used to.

  • I agree, THEY ARE NOT?? arrr -.-

@kevofdfw sign a petition or somewhat? no idea o.Ö

  • An ode to all us lazy mother fuckers out there. Thats the life

  • Watching this while eating mango cheesecake XD

    I am lazy,yes all rilgt

  • O_o

  • ooohh,Deep Purple that was time

  • This is what I listened to in highschool. Kids today get Justin Bieber..... Ugh....

  • @drackxman This is what I listen to now. I'm in high school. XD

  • @DeepKickSavior then your most likely an outsider

  • @DeepKickSavior ya? well im in middle school mother fucker.

  • @DeepKickSavior Is that so weird?

  • love it! Saw the band live in Christchurch in early 1976: brilliant, but not the same without Ritchie Blackmore. Guess I listened to the albums too much! Thanks for a great blast from the past!

  • 36 person prefer justin bieber...

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I played Machine Head to death in the 70s, along with offerings from Hendrix, Grand Funk, Santana, Sabbath, Zep, etc. However, this live version of "Lazy" is absolutely astonishing. Gillan's vocals are smoking, and all of the band members were so locked into the groove in that way where it seems like there's an extra player - Pan or whoever!! It's so cool to see how relaxed Blackmore's hands are even when he's playing the fiercest stuff. What a treat.

  • @kwesi01 Pan in the line up? That would make it Mark DCLXVI :)

  • One of the Best Shows I ever had the privledge to attend in Chicago at the old Mic cormic place 1971 Rockin!!!

  • 35 person don't want to stay in bed

  • Thumbs up if you're drunk.

  • @starwolffan13 i don't about you but i come here sedate every time !

  • @rocksoul226 I see..

  • @starwolffan13 **i don't know**

  • @rocksoul226 me neither

  • Roger Glover, on the bass!!!!!

  • CHEMISTRY! Something sadly lacking in a lot of bands today

  • BRUTAL BRUTAL BRUTAL !!!

  • this should the be #1 result for lazy, not some bruno mars shit

  • @everybodysuxbutme16 I know, I hate having to listen to the shite my mates like, this is the stuff of gods!

  • 35 people aren't lazy!

  • Deep Purple out rocks Led Zeppelin, so why don't they play Deep Purple more often than Dead Zeppelin on those piece-of-shit so-called "classic rock" radio stations?!

  • @jeffreygaudreault both bands are great, its just the classic rock stations suck. Don't hate zep because they get played more, hate the radio stations.

  • @jeffreygaudreault dude i love led zeppelin and deep purple lets not fight over this music of the same era and genre should live together in harmony and fight the evils of modern day rap/pop

    LONG LIVE CLASSIC ROCK

  • Saw them Twice!!

  • In 1972 Deep Purple were in the Guiness book of world records for being the loudest group in the world..........At a concert at the London Rainbow theatre.......Three of the audience were rendered unconscious..................Wikipedia.

  • anybody who like diversity led zepelin supposed to be the best of this person.

Deep is good but Zep is Zep. Others are bands.

  • LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZYYYY

    6:48

  • the godfathers on metal

  • Saw them in 1973 on the American leg. Outdoors at the speedway in West Palm Beach, Fl.

  • Love the old Marshall Stacks.

  • drjohncarter1962,

Copenhagen in March 1972. Deep Purple did two shows with one week between both concerts. Luckily Danish Radio found tapes with this show in their archive. It's a band with stunning energy and desire to play. Richie is phenomenal in Lazy.

  • I still don't understand how they aren't in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

  • @jablair51 cus the people who decides who is on that hallf of fame are assholes

  • @jablair51 i guess they try their darnest not to induct bands that have had lots of lineups. The facto that blackmore probabl wouldnt go also has something to do with it im sure. but yeah, how the fuck aren they there yet xd

  • @jablair51 madonna is in it -.- rck n roll hall of fame is bullshit

  • @jablair51

    WTF THEY ARE NOT? O_o''

  • @jablair51 What? O.o

  • @jablair51 How can we get them inducted in the RNR Hall of Fame? They should have been 20 years ago.

  • @jablair51 Iron Maiden, Uriah Heep, Saxon as well

  • @jablair51 Really dude?! thats insane!

  • I couldn't agree more!

  • @jablair51 yes, because bands like run-dmc with their repertoire of aerosmith rip-off's definitely deserved a spot ahead of legends like deep purple

  • Ian Paice.............

  • HEYY i found music ON YOUTUBE!

  • anyone got any idea where this was filmed?

  • @drjohncarter1962 New York maybe.

  • @drjohncarter1962 Denmark, Copenhagen '72 Machine Head Tour

  • HAd a boot leg tape from Ireland with an exyended version of this A great driving tune..

  • RITCHIE BLACKMORE IS A MOST "APPRECIATED" GUITARIST!!!!!

  • 06:44

    LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY

  • .....................................

  • seems like Ian doesn't know (or didn't know at the time) how to hold a harmonica to the mic. you can barely hear it. hes suppose to wrap his hands around the mic with the harp

  • superb!!

  • Genius.

  • :) yeah it's called improvisation.

  • I love 03:08!!!! =)

  • I love the generosity of Ian Paice, even during a gig he gives his sticks to a demanding member of the audience, a gentleman.

  • 33 lazy buggers!

  • にせ!

  • i don't give a flying... just play this at a dinner party. even the most boring self interested ***** will tap his stupid feet

  • grandiosa banda la música así suena cuando sale del alma

  • i was 15 when i heard this song for the first time,i drove my parents crazy!!!

  • Justin Beiber who?

  • Boring

  • @belinda2118 serious?? what u normally listen to?

  • Purple headlined the very first rock concert I ever saw, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 1973, with the JGeils Band in the warm-up slot. The opening act that day was a band called Elf, with some little lead singer named Ronnie James Dio; maybe you've heard of him. Gillan and Dio and the Mighty Deep Purple for my first show. What a beginning........................Peace:-)

  • la mejor banda del mundo...

  • why cant this song last forever?

  • If you want to hear good music, listen to this band. Really good song. Glenn Hughes as Lead singer. @ youtube.com/watch?v=hy6WLBvBXaI

  • intro sucks

  • FACKING AWESOME

  • FUCKING GOOD!

    i'm addicted to this song.

    pure blues, amazing!!!!

  • Blackmore is smiling?!? shocking :o

  • Its like a good old garage band.

  • @TheSuperMerc eres una caca al opinar que es una banda de garaje tarado...

  • @ELAGUILAFT uhhhhhhhhh.................... yes?

  • give me a rickenbacker bass and richie to play next to and I'll rule the world!

  • e' la prima volta che vedo blackmore contento di suonare con i deep......erano fantastici.

  • @all people reacting to alexxxxxx

Tjeeeez guys, ever heard of sarcasm. He just made a funny comment you all overreact, lolz.

  • These guys are clearly jamming/ improvising. Proper Rock...........

  • @1234sensei proper rock indeed! awseome! ;-)

  • @alexxxxxx well...you said "seriously" so unless you mean that sarcastically in itself...guess we have to take this as your true opinion. Which you're entitled to...but seriously (!) dude. There are some young artists & recent music I like fairly well. I'm not totally down on everything newer. But the guys you mention among the greatest in the history of rock...they're legends for a reason. People forget crap music pretty fast...40+ years later their stuff still rocks, like it always has.

  • What - no stage gimmicks? Just music - what is this world coming to?

  • It's like, bands back in the day are a dying breed. They were real and true to themselves and their audiences... nowadays, a bunch of no-talented sell-outs! Sick and sad to the utmost!!!!!
