  • I guess I didn't get the memo but who can only be one race? Lol y'all better check ya bloodline. The term Black doesn't say specifically what you are that's a Label. However the tribe ect does. The color of the skin doesn't matter either.. Loved the video. Your hair grew like a weed. This is what true love and care can do for Anyone.

  • im 7 months into my transition and its so hard to get use to doing my hair without a perm but ur my inspiration. thank you for the videos :)

  • Great video. I love your hair it's beautiful!!!! LOL :-)

  • LOVE THE VIDEO..there is hope for my hair YAY.

No more cutting for me I'm now deciding to grow it.

  • You have Beautiful hair and you just proved that kinky/curly hair can grow if taken care of. Whether you're mixed or not is irrelevant.

  • are you mixed or are you just 1 race?? by the way your hair is beautiful

  • @71taytay she is of african descent anyone can grow their har long as long as you take care of it.... you don't have to mixed to have curly hair....

  • nice video :)

  • what did you do to make your hair grow out so much???

  • My goodness your hair grew 5 times more in one year than mine has grown in TWO YEARS!!!!! Woooowwwww.... beautiful

  • your hair is so cute when he started forward immediately change ........ wow and best of all, it's natural is a good decision .. takes time but worth it

  • WHAT DID YOU USE!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Hi, I'm a new subscriber and i just want to tell you that your hair is absolutely amazing and BEAUTIFUL.YOU ARE TRUELY BLESSED. I was just wondering what you put in your hair to make it so flat looking on the sides when you bun it back. I've never been able to achieve this whilst natural. A LOT OF NATURALS KNOW HOW TO DEFINE THEIR CURL PATTERN OR HAS LOVELY HAIR WHICH CAN PASS AS RELAXED BECAUSE IT'S SO MOIST. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? MY HAIR'S JUST THERE WITH NO CURL PATTERN, JUST FLUFFY

  • I'm so angry. This would have been my fifth year natural and in the past 5 years I have cut my hair 3 times because of chemicals. Instead of staying natural after my first big chop I tried to go back to chemicals and twice had a bad experience. After my third chop I am never going back to chemicals NEVER!!!

  • @linkin5961 I HEAR YOU GIRL. I AM A NEW SUBSCRIBER DUE TO THE FACT THAT I NEED SOME INSPIRATION. Now relieved to find someone who is on the same mission as me-no offense. Yeah i went natural for 7 years! Hair fluffy long & strong and doing well than it ever has. SO WHAT DO I DO..GET FRUSTRATED AND MISGUIDED AND AIM TO HAVE LONG SILKY HAIR, AT LEAST ONCE IN MY LIFE. This was my goal. Heck, it's been 10 weeks and teeny breakage at the back so i am transitioning AGAIN & NOT LOOKING BACK!

  • Woww , Your hair is really pretty and very encouraging for people that are trying to go natural!!

  • Your hair is beautiful! Right now my hair is shoulder length (a little below) and I my hair goal is to have it mid-back/bra strap length. So through your 4 year journey of your natural hair, you just blow dried about once a month and then had braids every now and then??

Currently, I flat iron my hair once a week and I'm starting to feel that that is too much and will prolong my time to reach my hair goal. I'm starting to do twist-outs so I hope that will help me reduce how much I flat iron.

  • people who dislike this are just jealoussssss gottt when will people change !!!!!!!!!how can someone not even someone how can a blacks hates this !!!!!!!!! her hair are just gorgeous gorgeous is even an understatement

  • BEAUTIFUL ASIATIC SISTA

  • My hair is the length was at 1:52 except I cut the fron short for bangs. I let it grow out to the length yours was at 2:30 but I can't seem to stop cutting it short up to my ears. I do this every year for some odd reason even though I end up hating it short. Seeing your vid I think of how long it would have been if I hadn't been cutting it so much over the past 15 some odd years.

  • Fuck your hair!!!! I'm so jealous....

  • Im jealouse as hell

  • I recently posted a comment. I would like to make a correction regarding my hair goals: I meant to say I am seeking waist length hair- not bra-strap length, which I now have. please view uploaded photo.

    Ally

  • beautiful,Beautiful,Beautiful hair omGoodness

  • Wow! Your hair is gorgeous. Please tell me what your hair type is?

  • This was so inspiring! I wish I never permed my hair when I was little.

    -Natural since '08

  • In those pictures did you have perm in your hair?Or it was natural...

  • @ChrisBrownGirl2011 The video is called My NATURAL Hair Journey...

You try and figure it out.

  • What products do you use?

  • You are now one of my inspirations...love it!!Im only 5months but I see growth from day 1, natural is beautiful and I am inspired, thanks girl and keep it up:)

  • Thanks for sharing your journey. I've only been natural for a year, but my goal is elbow length. You make me believe I can do it!

  • What type of product do you used in your hair?

  • How long did it take you to grow your hair that long?

  • honestly, ur the reason im going natural lolz(=

    ur hair is AMAZING!!

  • god ur hair is amazingly long and luxurious lol

  • your hair is so beautiful, you're an inspiration to all the beautiful girls who want healthy long hair, keep up the good work(: LOVE this video(:

  • this video just shows that any texture hair, EVEN THE NAPPIEST....LOL, grows. with patience and good care. LOVE IT..........................

  • How long did you transition before doing that BC?

  • how long do u keep braides in?

  • That was a very pleasant and inspirational video.

  • I'm confused. I just watched a newer video where she was saying to use no heat. at all on your hair. In it she has very long hair that has a curled textured, very beautiful. In this one she obviously used a hot comb or flat iron. So, is it alright to flat iron hair when you are trying to go natural? This is my 14year old daughter's biggest deal. She doesn't want fat puffy hair. Secondly, she doesn't like braids much anymore, doesn't like how flat to your head they are.

  • @Angelann2u

which vid was that? I don't recall ever telling anyone not to use heat, as I attribute heat to my length retention. I recommend using it in moderation though. I flatiron my hair and blowdry my hair and my hair is still fairly strong even at its current length, so I don't think you'd be doing your daughter an injustice by letting her wear her hair straight every blue moon. I blowdry approx 12x a yr and flatiron now only 1x per yr.

    gl

  • @Longhairdontcare2011 how interesting that you attribute heat to your length retention! makes sense as curly hair has a tendency to wrap around itself causing knots..and it looks like you trim your hair quite often as well. thanks for sharing, great video!

  • @Longhairdontcare2011 I wish I could braid my own hair. I would keep it braided, looks like you kept your hair braided alot, is that how you grew it out? what is your regime., beautiful hair sista! very kind of you to share, but you don't have to explain or convince anyone of anything.

  • @Angelann2u Ohhhhhhh! Honey you're thinking about LongHairDon'tCareLLS or something like that not LongHairDontCare2011 .

There's two of them on here . LongHairDontCare2011 is heat trained and the other lady isn't.

Lol. That confused me too but then I realized they were too different people.

  • @Angelann2u I'm transitioning and am so excited...I been using heat a little because of a quick weave I'd made, but a lady here on youtube shown how she would flat iron the front of her head like I did and her hair texture was different from the rest when she was all natural. It was not as thick and curly. She should embrace the uniqueness! Maybe she doesn't like it now. I was the same way. She should try doing new things. :)

  • @Angelann2u yes u can flat iron ur hair when u r try or when u r natural it helps 2 use some type of heat protector there r tons of brands Chi is very good (i have very thick tight curled natural hair) also remember 2 oil ur ends if u can avoid over heating and putting heat on ur hair everyday because it will cause breakage/ damage but flat ironing or pressing ur hair will not hurt it

  • ok i think im gonna go natural ..u inspired me...lovely hair!!!

  • DANG! LONNNGGG JOURNEY! its pretty! lol. n yes its on a black woman. y y y are people shocked! when its a black sista! ijs

  • This is y I am about to keep braids

  • @heartspokenwords ALL i have to say is diet and MSM.

  • @tokyosuni that's funny or hair is not as great. Wow your hair is full n beautiful. I was stressed last thanksgiving with heavy problems of my own I was just recoverin from n just as my hair was coming in n transrerring 2 a university My folks needed me n I just wanted to be left out of drama n trouble.I have been natural since. I have been experimenting with my hair with natural products, needless 2say I'm still lookin for that miracle to wake up with long, thick hair, stead of Prince Charming

  • The 30+ dislikes must have a perm =\

  • I almost cried!!! Us African Americans have the best hair type hands doooooown!!! I can't wait till my hair gets waist length!!! I'm just going to stay out of it and keep it braided up.. What's good hair you ask? NATURAL HAIR MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!! PEACE, LOVE, AND NAPPINESS ^_^

  • can you please tell me what kindof hair products you use to main tain your hair?

  • the braiding at 2:58 is amazing!

  • I love how versatile natural black hair is. We can go from big hair one day to sleek and everything in between!

  • @mawalls2001 blacks have the best hair type.

  • I am almost finished with my transition and seeing your video has inspired me to know I am almost there and this is worth it. Thanks so much, I just might chop off the permed ends and just go for it, it's only hair and it will grow back :)

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (!!!!!) do a hair tutorial for the look at 3:17!!

  • @blindkittysCANcry I agree!!!

  • wow i like your hair its look like art!

  • AMAZING!!! my motivation immma start right now!!!

  • bravo!

  • This has really inspired mee !

  • my hair is creeping past my shoulders, but little advice for people would be to stay up with tirms and make braiding or twisting a main style for a while, helps retain length. our hair does grow.

  • so u grow ur from constantly puttin it in braids? wats ur regimen to growing ur hair? and those braids in the video did u did them yourself? or did sumone else do them for you? srry for all the questions but id really loved to kno

  • Her just wont stop growing lol its amazing

  • wow that is alot of hair..lol...I love it ...

  • I love how people keep asking repetitive questions or don't even bother to look at when the video was uploaded. It's been almost TWO YEARS now and LHDC has been continuously uploading new videos. I mean seriously. Questions like "How long did it take to grow your hair" are stupid, especially since she REPEATEDLY mentions it in multiple videos.

  • @Dark0Malkavian omg i soooo agree

  • them braids at 2:57 is fresh

  • Those 29 dislikes must not LOVE hair as much as I do! Your hair is BEAUTIFUL as well as you! I so admire your progress which only shows how beautiful our hair can be with care and patience! Thanks for the motivation! : )

  • how long did it take you to grow ure hair out that long ??

  • @hunny652 it took her 5 to 6 years...from 2004-2009

  • Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

I love your very long natural hair!

  • My hairs length is at 2:34 and I want it to grow longer...I need help.

  • LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so beautiful and makes my eyes water up!!! I love the thickness and everything, so beautiful!! I hope I can achieve this in the next three years!

  • Wow despite how you THINK you looked when I saw the first non-blurred pic (lol) I said hey if that girl had a nose ring she'd kinda look like that longhairdotcare lady. My slow to rise self did know it was you till 3:53 in HA

  • Love your hair for real I am doing what you are doing just keeping my real hair twisted or getting kinky twists put in...I hope to reach the same goal you have...by the way how did it take for you to grow your hair out like that...did you ever experience a lot of detangling when you took your hair down from twists or braids...did you ever experience at some points a large amount of hair loss

  • did you find your hair grew mainly due to wearing braids as a protective style?I am so inspired and I now have my hair in just braids naturally and i moisturized my hair and scalp.Im curious because Im on a mission to pass BSL and I need any advice possible.Thankyou in advance.

  • How did you get your hair to grow like that?

  • so u just let it grow and u didnt pt anything in it

  • Wow... You Are Blessed... I Could Only DREAM Of Having Hair That Long And Healthy...

  • all i can say is WOWWWWWWWW

  • Wow. You know, you've really inspired me to go natural. I had really THICK hair like yours, and it is now about 4 inches past my shoulders, but it is relaxed, dry, and brittle. This might be the video that makes me change my mind...

    Thanks for the inspiration!!!

  • Keep up with that beautiful hair girl.

  • absoutly beautiful hair...you are also beautiful...can you please tell me what you are using to make your hair grow,i am transitioning i have bald spots in my nape area and front hairline can you please help with what to do!!!....please respond!!!!....thank you!!!!!...GOD BLESS YOU AND THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.....YOU CAN FB ME ANSWERS GISELLE GIGI WATTS AT FB...

  • U look pretty period Dnt have to explain...nice hair

  • @chalant08

    That's sweet of you :)

  • your hair is beautiful!

  • the very first picture looks like a mugshot lol but you are my new hair inspiration!!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE pic

    1:49

  • I have a question.. Please answer :-) But how long do you keep your protective styles for? Im going into my 2nd year of being natural and I want to retain more length by keeping my protective style for 2 months at a time. I am just confused about the protective style part. I want to make sure that at the end of next year I'll have all my 6 inches or MORE lol

  • @DreaDevine she grew it from 2004 to 2009, atleast thats wat she writes in the beginnin if u read

  • @DreaDevine protective styling is good but if you wanna retain lenght you need to wash your hair regularly And deep condition the hair for at least 30 min with a plastic cap at a regular basis like once a week. our hair needs moisture to grow, seal with oils or butters. just choose a low maintenace protective style that works for your hair. good luck ps if you have very dry or porous hair you may want to co-wash with a silicone free conditioner instead of shampoo it helped me retain lenght !

  • Long hair don't care...one word. Beautiful! This video spans over a five year period right?

  • 3:27 DAMMNNN that's ALOT of hair XD

  • how long did it take for your hair grow that long

  • Your hair inspire me!

  • your hair is amazing. true inspiration. can you write in detail please all the hair products that you used!

  • your hair is so pretty !

  • Just two questions because your hair is so long

How often do you / did you wash your hair.

What products did you / do you use in your hair.

  • who did your braids???

  • 3:47 , my heart dropped! so pretty :)

  • she whips her hair back & forth!!!

    you have beautiful hair!

  • I love ur vid....ive been transitioning for 9 mths n u have been such an inspiration...keep it coming...;)

  • do yu clip your own ends

  • I am TRULY inspired!! I'm trying to grow my hair out too! How did u do it?! HOW LONG DID IT TAKE U?!

  • Does Doing cornrows make your hair grow more?

  • @StrawberryLeafs it does to me, the trick is to stay away from mineral oil, moisturize a lot, use light moisture in hair everyday(i a protective style or none) dont ever ever use fake hair, no extensions, glue, weave or other fake hair, doing cornrows helps my hair grow faster then just living it like dat, sometimes I do twist which also helps, ur hair wont break as much when u moisturezie, but if u leave it withot using moisture then it will dry become brittle and break a lot, take care

  • Really beautiful! Did you use protective styles?

  • wish you had put year of progression on each slide...but nonetheless...YOU ARE INSPIRATIONAL :-)

  • I'm totally inspired. Now I have some faith that my hair might actually grow. lol I just need patience. Thanks for sharing

  • i love watching this video to see how ur hair transformed. might i ask what products did you use or what things did you do to your hair.

  • you are a inspiration!! love your braidout at 2:57

  • Nice vid! Your hair looks very healthy.

  • your hair is beautiful girl what did you use to make it grow so nicely?

  • I have been searching and searching for this video of yours. How amazing is this! You lost weight during your sickness as well right? I have a question do u think flat ironing your natural hair at ever wash is too much?

  • @MarQHen

I lost weight and gained weight...mostly gained.

It depends on how much you wash your hair.

  • @Longhairdontcare2011 lol, you were kind of adorable when u were younger

  • really wish some of the pics had dates to measure and compare my progress....my hair looks a lot like yours thickness and all.....i have only been natural for a year....progress is great I cut hair to neck length.....grew out the rest of perm cutting periodically.....grew to apl.....recently(yesterday) just cut to shoulder length to get the blunt ends .....have you ever had a perm

  • Omg your hair is beautiful I want it

    :)

  • its beautiful

  • ho my good you hair is so nice i loved and lov

  • Thanks for sharing that I am starting from damaged short hair so watching this encourages me and makes me realize its going to take time. Your hair is beautiful!

  • how long have you been growing your hair.your hair is gorgous,im def.gonna keep going with my natural journey
