This is freaking marvelous!!! I've seen Grazyka live a few times and she is always a revelation. This collaboration with this stellar guitarist is the ultimate...
Sounds great all the way through for me. Kurt interacts super well with that singer. I thought that it didn't go well the first time I saw the video like a year ago, but he's not trying to show off during her solo or anything he's just laying down a groove, and then puts some melodic lines in there.
@ginzaloon: I talked to Kurt after that show. He told me he knew Grażyna since Berklee years (they studied around the same time). Moreover he told me it was his idea to do this project. A great collaboration - it's a mix of NY-jazz with some eastern music influences - Grażyna and Jarek Bester (a klezmer musician) are from Poland and Matt Ulery is strongly influenced by eastern European musical traditions. And they played 'Polish Song' in the end. The concert was great and people loved it.
@KurtVids hey is there any way you could cut out the audio from this concert and have it available for download? It's all just so awesome. it would be nice to be able to listen to it without the computer.
actually that's probably like a "shared solo" but i agree it's completely unnecessary ... well I think the lady is there unnecessary after all - the band sounds great without her (maybe even better - I don't like singing in jazz generally :)
I think the Moffa guitar best suits Kurts playing together with his D´Angelico. Those Moffa guitars seems increadible to play and sounds like choir...
She not a terrible singer.....but she needs to shut when he's playing...

Interaction between kurt and singer is unbelievable. Nice giant steps changes in parts of the tune.

This guitar sounds great, particularly in the lower range.

Wish you'd shut up. You do realize he gets his own solo later.
