This game killed the "Bubsy" franchise, which is a shame because I liked the SNES games. The voice actor (or probably actress) reminds me of the one that did the voice for Scrappy-Doo's friend on the 80s cartoon "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo" (that annoying androgynous kid that would tag along; he was vaguely Latino, I think).

I remember buying this second hand and thinking what a mistake that was!

It does have that weird trippy feel to it that did keep me playing through a few levels though.

It's like one big bad acid trip. Strangely alluring. Maybe I'm just crazy but I found it kind of enjoyable. Can this game be honestly compared to anything similar? Because I am yet to come across a game as wacked out at this. For that, I give it some kudos.

what that scratching sound is is the indecation that an enemy is coming up. a lot of these enemies have their own sounds in the music tracks. UFO's, hummers, bombboies, excetra.

Honestly, Bubsy 3D has absolutely no excuse to be this horrible. Big Rigs was obviously just a case of the publisher not giving the developers anywhere near enough time to make an actual quality product (WHERE WERE THE GAME TESTERS ON THAT?), but this was just a terrible idea from the start.

This was the biggest let down ever. I started crying as soon as the game started.

I can definite side with you on that one. The top-down perspective limits the player's field of view (especially when driving), the lack of camera orientation or autoaim makes shooting hard as hell, and graphics were jerky. Also, there are no save points, so you only have limited lives to rely on.

Still, it was a first try for a game this immense. GTA2 was superior, although it still inherits several flaws. But GTA Advance is probably the worst for retaining and amplifying the problems of GTA1.

Ah Bubsy 3D... I remember borrowing this game from Blockbusters like 9 years ago... I was so excited to be playing abother Bubsy game! I put it in my PS1 as soon as I got home, played it for 5 minutes, and returned it to Blockbusters. It was the biggest piece of crap game I have ever played to this day.

Wikipedia is telling me that the original VA is named John A. S. Skeel, who actually helped design a lot of the game, but I could have sworn the ending sequence credited someone else for the voice part. =|

According to the in-game credits of the Mega Drive version, Brian Silva did the voice in the first game. Oddly enough, the voice isn't even credited in the SNES version, which is the one I owned as a kid.
