I made a stronger spring that did hit the valve a fraction longer open, man i tell you this gun was much stronger. I pumped it for 15 times and all the pressure came out at once!! Good luck making your gun stronger!!
I'm building a custom rifle that will use the CX4's magazines. Do you know where I could find any CAD drawings or anything like that for it? I don't want to have to buy a CX4 just to draw the magazine well.
I just got my CX4 495fps (really doubt that) rifle. I was really surprised that the CX4 CO2 rifle is actually LESS powerful than the PX4 CO2 pistol. The pistol is rated for 380fps. Considerably less than the 495fps the rifle is rated for. I got 30 pages of penetration with the pistol. With the rifle, I got 5-10 pages and the pellets bounced back. This was with a fresh 88g tank. It's accurate enough, I was really surprised at how wimpy this thing is.
i am so upset it jammed. i think the reason is i like to make my own ammo i have never had a problem til i tried to glue 2 pellets together anyhow i shot it about 6 r 8 times until i know it was jammed.

Hey bud i just got that gun but i have jammed the barrel. i either have to drill the lead pellets out with metal dowel/pushrod, or take gun apart and remove barel and unjam it from the loading end. they are closer to the breech than the muzZle.
So by modifying the spring tension, I understand you got an increase in FPS. My question is whether or not the FPS increase was significatn enough. Are there any actual tests of FPS before AND after the mod? I would love to know, since this rifle is seriously underpowered in its Canadian variant.

I read from a forum (which I have forgotten) that the accuracy of cx4 can be improved by securing the mounting the barrel. If anyone has tried to improve its accuracy, please share your experience.
Wouldn't getting a co2 component with a lager hole or drilling a lager hole in the already existing one make it more powerful? Im not to good at this stuff but it seems logical as it would release more Co2 every time you shot the gun. The version that will come to Sweden will only amount to about 3 joule (110 m/s) and that is really is lame and unjust for a gun like this!

Hey James ! on the hole where the spring is loaded i've filled it with 1/2 inch alluminium piece i made. so the Spring is a lot stiffer and this result in more CO2 being shot. This will void your guarantee but it's the best i know that can be done ! Cheer!
@jfgad I did the same thing filled the spring hole with about a 1/2 piece of lead pretty much filled that hole right up, now the spring is a bit stiffer and the hammer has a little more weight and put the gun back together, chrono the gun and it was only firing at 495 fps .WTF.I don't no what it was firing before the spring mod but i was expecting a better fps than that, there must be more to it than just the spring to get it more powerful, I am going to lighten the spring in valve next
Also pllet brand has alot to do with accuracy, trying out different brands should see a god match. Im not saying its not all the gun, but the pellets play a large part.

it shoots 1,3,6 shot bursts, at 6 shot, thats pretty much full auto, now screw finding a full auto option, unless you can make a new clip that holds 60. My advice to you guys thinkin like i do, take apart 2 clips, fuse the pellet band together, and boom, 60 shot capacity, and a sick ass double stacked looking clip. I dont care if it costs 300 bux to be honest, im not gettin it for its accuracy, i like the overall pellet, almost full auto, bigger co2 1000 shots i think from 1 can. POST YOURS!!!
Another easy way to remove the safety and making sure you don't loose the Ball or the Spring would be to put the inner body inside a clear plastic bag. This way at least everything stay inside the plastic bag.
do u need to take out the trigger and safety when working with the spring for the hammer ? or can u leave it in place ?

i'm not sure... and, i don't know. I can tell you for sure that the spring modification affected the ammount of CO2 enough for me.
At 30 Yards, i shoot a target and the pellet is flying straight. So, that is good enough for me !

sure it's not as accurate as a airmagnum.. but at 40 yards, i have the 30 pellets in a 3 inches circle... not so bad.
