Their teachings include marriage for sex that can last up to minutes (or even second), drinking the Imam's pee, bathing in the Imam's poo (basically worshiping them as if they were Gods). They interpret the Quran the way they want and therefore abuse it. I'm trying to send the message: not all muslims represent the true Islam. Muslims around the world do need to condemn extremism more vociferously and regularly, but we should also acknowledge that the mass media in Western countries don't consider such protests to be newsworthy or sensational. If one responds by saying, "Those women don't really have a choice because they'll be beaten by their male relatives if they don't," then one needs to (a) demonstrate that this is true of most women in any given society and (b) cease to criticise feminists who denounce the sex industry as a means whereby women are exploited by men. If women should be able to freely consent to sex even within a patriarchal paradigm (like prostitution), then Muslim women should be able to consent to the hijab.

Secondly, you ask why it is that when many Muslim have the legal choice not to wear the hijab they choose not to. This is true, but the opposite also happens.

Criss, as a fellow atheist, I commend your work. But I disagree with a couple of points. First, at 4:36, you say that we all know what can happen to women who choose not to wear the hijab, especially in the Middle East. This is certainly true of places like Saudi Arabia and Iran, where not wearing a head and/or full body covering is punishable by law, and various traditional communities and villages in the Arabian peninsula, where not wearing the hijab can have dire social consequences.

That being said, in my personal opinion it is ALL religion that should come to an end. Look at Norway, forced to mourn the death of kids in the same religion that got them killed.

I also get mad (sometimes even agressive reactions) when I asked muslims why they raised hell on the street when headscarfs (religion signs in general btw) were forbidden in governement buildings and schools... and why I never hear them when a schoolbus full of children is blown up in the name of Allah or when millions were slaughterd in darfur...
Their hate against homosexsual people is also very aparent...
