Actually Sam, censoring games happens even today. For an example in Megaman Zero series when you slashed enemies to bits with your sabre a splash of blood "or motor oil?" came out of them.

Three reasons that Dan Let's Plays would not be good.

1. I have interesting conversations, but my monologues are rambling and rather dull, so the commentary wouldn't be very interesting without a co-commentator.

2. I'd forget to talk while I was playing, so the commentary wouldn't actually exist.

3. I have no real interest in Let's Playing, so the Let's Play wouldn't actually exist.

Am I wrong or can't you just crouch walk through that hallway with all the spikes coming out of the ceiling? That's what I remember when I played this. And I just sort of randomly jumped through the part with the disappearing platforms and somehow managed to make it to the other side.

usually i would disagree that games back then were more difficult than they are now, but dan makes a good point that we would def spend a lot more time playing them and i also really like his point how as a kid we were just happy playing the game rather than being so focused on beating it

Dan, Your statement at 3:45 is so true, there are still NES and SNES games that I have that I haven't beaten because of the difficulty. That's what makes them so endearing though, the question of seeing if you are good enough to beat the developers.
